What is the durability of these? Does vinyl siding come into contact with water/moisture when installed with these sealants?

This roof structure is durable and will last a long time. It will not protect you from water but due to the angle in which it is applied and the fins lining the shaft it should prevent moisture from getting into The vinyl siding on my home recently had about a dozen replaced (they are working fine).

What is the best way to replace these holes in brick with existing ones?

As far as size goes, they were the same as my old ones. Make sure that you don't break the old one off when you pull it out. It took me some time to drill them out of the brick after I broke off two ends. I found these to be perfect for my needs.

In each pack, how many of these fasters are there?

There are 4 packs in each box. There was a need for 6 shutters per shutter in my case. It was only after I installed them that I realized it

What is the proper way to tighten those? As a result of a hurricane, the ones that were in the shutters left behind broke off. ?

There is no screw in them. It may be stuck in the shutter here, in which case you should cut it off as close as possible to the shutter and take You can either pull it out or cut it off as close to the siding as possible and push it in with a screwdriver if it's stuck in the house. Using electrician's pliers, you can easily remove them from the cables.

In this case, you need to repair shutters

My shutter fasteners were broken so I used these to fix them. I replaced the broken pieces with these after pulling them out of the hole. The only way to tell how long they will last is to wait and see. So far, Choosing the right shade of color can be the most challenging part. In my case, they were a bit lighter in color than I had hoped. However, they did work well.

The shutters are painted in a Salty Dog (dark) blue color. These had to be hammered into an opening that I drilled in the shutters and the stucco The vanes pull out of the hole when you pull the hole out (because the hole wasn't drilled deep enough) The kind of place where they won't want to work (I suppose In case things went wrong, I bought extras).

Since we had just painted our fascia boards, gutters, and shutters to match, I purchased the paintable ones

It really wasn't too much of a stretch for the fasteners to match that color. Because of that, they bent and became deformed, which prevented them from fitting properly. I had to shorten them on all of them in order to make them fit in the holes. Therefore, if these are being used to replace some old fasteners see if you can drill in to the hole that is already there to remove any debris or to lengthen the hole to fit the new fasteners Aside from that- Use a thin measuring stick to measure the depth of each hole so you know how much to cut off before you start hammering in the screws.

A simple replacement for an item that is hard to find

One or two of my shutters that were attached to bricks had come loose, and I saw that the pins had been chipped Using a rubber mallet to help persuade the new ones into place, they fit perfectly. Amazon was able to provide me with a hard to find item and matched the color for my painted shutters. Thanks!.

You might want to trim your ladder so you can access it more easily

I found these to be very effective. As a precaution, I ordered more than I would need, in case I ever need to do a repair again. Built 13 years ago, our house is still in good condition. aftermath of a recent hurricane led to the destruction of fasteners on two shutters, which were mounted in the cement joints of bricks. I was able to do it after that.

Those who have never replaced these before may find it helpful to watch a video on youtube on how to do it. I had to replace mine after high winds caused my shutters to come loose. They were 18 years old at the time. However, the program seems to work fine once installed. It looks like I will order more on account of more shutters that fail to lok properly.

A problem and a solution. In my mind, there were four in the package instead of the usual five. A lot of times, at least 12 items are available for this price. It costs $6 to buy a 12 pack from Lowe's. The second problem is that they are made of flimsy plastic, which bends quite easily when installed. This would not be a good choice, so I ordered metal.
