First let me say that I generally prefer Command adhesive products, and have used them more than once successfully (in my office at work and rented apartments), but this is one of the worst products from Command I have ever bought. It is also true, as other reviewers have pointed out, that even if you do remove the backing (sometimes a thin layer of paper is left behind), the adhesive mostly peels off, then snaps back into messy blobs. I'd like to compare it to that goopy adhesive on the back of new credit cards, but it's way thinner, stickier, and very hard to straighten out and I eventually did get some usable strips out of my 16 pack of strips (of which I think 16 were used) and I hung a 10x12 frame at home The weight is not too heavy I expect it to fall after a couple of In addition, maybe I am a moron, but I have used strips from the same package twice and have rehung the picture only to have it eventually fall. The first time I hung the picture (with the Ace Hardware Command strips), it stuck securely and held up without issue. This time, the picture was so clingy that I could not even take my hands off of it fully before it slid It got away from me. 1) I felt barely any adhesive Some of the other reviews I read indicated they thought their packages were fakes or knock-offs There was a major difference in quality from the product I received and I feel that is what also happened to me. I applied the strips to the picture exactly as instructed, and the picture was well within the weight restrictions. To keep them in place even better, I applied two extra sets of strips. It is possible I will try to order the product again through 3M's website, but I would not recommend buying the product at Ace again. However, I might look into returning to Ace just to make sure I get the right.

The product is either fake or incorrectly stored. Command strips have never caused me any problems. I have used them plenty of times before. I was unable to peel off the peel off part of the strip and it stuck to the sticky part. Could it be that they were stored at a temperature that allowed the adhesive to partially melt? If you'd prefer to pick them up in person instead of ordering them online, I recommend going to the store and picking them up there. As for mine, it ended up not working out We can use it.
