Questions & Answers
How many inches are there?
are 3/4" wide by 2" long (if that is what you are looking for).
As soon as I remove the Command Strips, the paint & sheetrock come off the wall. Why is that?
Even if you pull it in the right direction, you can't just do it. It is necessary to stretch out the strip by applying pressure against the wall (against the strip) in order to prevent it from tearing off the wall. Then, pulling the tab end in line with the strip will allow the strip to stretch In the process of stretching, it loses adhesion and just falls Once you release the pressure on the stretch at the other end, it just falls off when you release it. It is quite likely you will shear off paint and parts of the wall if the walls are weak if you do not apply pressure as you pull them.

What if the canvas paintings are oil ?
I would say it depends on how heavy the canvas is. Canvas paintings should be no problem for you if it is a typical canvas painting. Those were the canvasses I used for my three (3x2) In one part of the wood, I covered it with canvas paper after which I placed the strips. Over 2 years ago, I positioned them high above the couch, and they have never fallen or moved. It is my pleasure to help.

There is no good batch! You need to be careful! A review of these is on my to-do list ever since I bought them about six months ago
First let me say that I generally prefer Command adhesive products, and have used them more than once successfully (in my office at work and rented apartments), but this is one of the worst products from Command I have ever bought. First, they come in different packaging from the 3M Command package The screws came in a clear plastic bag much like the screws and bolts you get when making After I got home, I was like, ok, I've had other items from Amazon that didn't come in their original packaging, assuming there was some damage in the warehouse or something, and they always worked just fine. So I made a big mistake. They were the worst items to work with on command. There is really no way to remove the backing from these strips - they are just about impossible to remove In other words, if you are lucky enough to remove the entire edge with your fingernails and you bite with your front teeth, you can try to pull the rest off with your teeth while biting. It is also true, as other reviewers have pointed out, that even if you do remove the backing (sometimes a thin layer of paper is left behind), the adhesive mostly peels off, then snaps back into messy blobs. I'd like to compare it to that goopy adhesive on the back of new credit cards, but it's way thinner, stickier, and very hard to straighten out and I eventually did get some usable strips out of my 16 pack of strips (of which I think 16 were used) and I hung a 10x12 frame at home The weight is not too heavy I expect it to fall after a couple of In addition, maybe I am a moron, but I have used strips from the same package twice and have rehung the picture only to have it eventually fall. This review has been motivated by the fact that it fell again yesterday, and the frame finally broke. My work hung a much larger, heavier dry erase calendar than I normally use and it fell twice as far. In the end, I used clear pushpins in all corners of the bottom half of the board In spite of all the negativity, I have bought the same product on Amazon before and I used those hanging strips very successfully - to the disbelief of the person who moves into my office after me. This particular item option should be treated with caution because I suspect it is a fake 3M item, or if it is a real 3M item, it may be that someone chose to sell it anyways because they believe it is a defective product. I am not out big bucks because of this, but it is.

let a nail hole ruin your day I used these and the smaller size to hang an entire gallery wall
Easy to Velcro apart and move around. There were a couple that I had to fully remove and they did not leave any The information I found here would have been helpful to me when I first moved into my new home months ago. What an amazing group! When possible, I will always make use of these in the future.

Put nails in the hole
Would it have made much difference to you if the wall had a small It won't be long before your paintings (3 in 5 hours) come crashing down at random hours of the night, damaging your base boards, artwork, and It is possible that these were not designed for locations with much humidity, such as Houston. The product you are about to buy should be avoided.

What do you think? A bad batch for sure? This same product has been sold at Ace Hardware in the past and I was thrilled with its performance, so I opted to purchase it from Amazon to re-order it It was time for me to hang the picture I wanted to relocate
The first time I hung the picture (with the Ace Hardware Command strips), it stuck securely and held up without issue. This time, the picture was so clingy that I could not even take my hands off of it fully before it slid It got away from me. 1) I felt barely any adhesive Some of the other reviews I read indicated they thought their packages were fakes or knock-offs There was a major difference in quality from the product I received and I feel that is what also happened to me. I applied the strips to the picture exactly as instructed, and the picture was well within the weight restrictions. To keep them in place even better, I applied two extra sets of strips. It is possible I will try to order the product again through 3M's website, but I would not recommend buying the product at Ace again. However, I might look into returning to Ace just to make sure I get the right.

A fake or a ruined product
The product is either fake or incorrectly stored. Command strips have never caused me any problems. I have used them plenty of times before. I was unable to peel off the peel off part of the strip and it stuck to the sticky part. Could it be that they were stored at a temperature that allowed the adhesive to partially melt? If you'd prefer to pick them up in person instead of ordering them online, I recommend going to the store and picking them up there. As for mine, it ended up not working out We can use it.

A wall saver that is very useful
It's great to use these to protect my walls, and they are easy to use. You won't have any more nail holes, and there won't be peeling paint if you follow the directions. So that you can benefit from my trials and errors, here are some suggestions for those who are new to these The following are the points you should be aware of. Always make sure you are applying to a clean surface, especially kitchen walls, which might have unseen residue from every day cooking habits. It is important to maintain adhesion to avoid adhesion issues over time. If you are going to hang these, choose a day that is not too humid. To dry off your surface area if that isn't an option, wipe it with a moist cloth and then run a fan over it until it's completely As much as possible, keep the fan running while the application is running.
We apply a three-step process to all our activities. Make sure to use more than you anticipate you will need based on the packaging recommendations. The standard recommendation is to use two pairs of strips (top and bottom) for anything 8 x 10 or larger, or anything that weighs a lot. It may seem like an extra strip is more than you need, but trust me, it is not worth the risk of your cherished portrait smashing to the ground if there is a spare. My experiences with these strips have been few and far between, with the exception of the time when I was not drinking water. It takes a lot of strength to hold these strips. The fourth item is
4. If you first press the strips together, then apply the sticky side to the item you are hanging, and then to the surface where you plan to hang it, you may find it easier to hang items. If you place a small level on top of your picture or item, it will look very well balanced. The fourth item is
4. Apply mild pressure to a strip as you pull the tab when removing it from the By doing so, it will be less likely to pull a chunk of paint All in all, this is a great, very useful product, which will allow you to hang your favorite decor and change it up just as you wish This book is highly.
