Questions & Answers

Which ones are black and which ones are ?

Exactly as shown in the pictures, they are black or a very dark charcoal grey. There are two binding strips on a double-folded binding strip Light blue thread is stitched along the edges.

What if I want to build my own vocal recording booth and use this as the soundproofing material?

Moving with them has been a little troublesome for me, and I used them in a garage to block street noise. They aren't very heavy, however, so they really don't make a difference. On Amazon there seems to be a foam type product to soundproof recording booths you might want to look into.

During the moving process, are there any chemicals in them? Are you planning on using these blankets as regular ones?

In my SUV, I keep a few similar moving blankets that I can use when I am moving and for emergency purposes. In my car, I use them as a blanket, and I also use them as blankets for lawns and beaches. The smell has never been an issue. Washing mine is a regular occurrence for me.

Qualitatively the best- Renting blankets or buying blankets is a cheaper option (compared to renting)
4/5

Listed below are a few tips for prospective buyers The most important factor to look at when looking at different options (when shopping online) for moving blankets is the weight of the item at the end of the description. In general, moving blankets are categorized as high, medium, or low quality based on (1) weight and (2) stitching As the quality of the stitch cannot be determined online, when shopping online, the most important determining factor is the overall I ---------- This set of moving blankets was cheaper online than at any of the local brick and mortar stores, so I purchased them online as a set. It is more expensive to buy moving blankets at chains of hardware stores or moving companies. The moving blankets would have been even more expensive to rent (even just during the move) than to buy sets of them. knew also that it would be several months before our belongings were available. The most cost-effective way to protect belongings during a move seems to be to purchase sets of moving blankets online. Please note
There's no substitute for quality when it comes to these blanks Professional moving companies use methods one step below these. do not pay attention to how product sellers/manufacturers explain the categories There is no meaning in words like "professional," "heavy grade," etc. To help you choose the right one, I suggest looking at This information is the only one that is objectively useful. The blankets in this category (and the blankets in this category) all are of excellent quality It is possible that the blankets in category') will be sufficient to protect furniture during a move, but don't expect them to be the same quality as the heavier and thicker blankets used by professional movers. Please note
There is no point in keeping these blankets after a move, as you may use them once more. There are two of them Descriptions of uses A blanket that can be thrown together in minutes. Unlike blankets that will survive a washing cycle in a machine, these cloth goods will not survive washing. Once they are dirty, you should decide if the blankets can be reused- It will be impossible to clean them, so you will have to throw them away if too dirty to be reused. Please note
Here's a brief tip for how to use the software Both with the blankets and with the items the blankets would shield, I took some steps to protect them. It is common to wrap items only in blankets and then tape the blankets. The blanket fabric may rip or stitched seams may come undone when the blanket is torn. An alternative to blankets and tape is Use rubber bands (also available on Amazon) to hold the blankets in place while you (a) wrap an item in a blanket, and (b) place the blanket on top of the rubber band. In the first place, you should (a) This is the wrap (also available on Amazon)*- The blankets need to be covered to protect them. This process is also helpful in protecting items in case a leak is discovered on the moving truck. (It turned out that the moving truck we used had a leak in a seam, and I didn't get to see it when I picked it up, but it was quite visible' To load the truck, you must clean up and prepare it for loading Furniture and other items wrapped in bubble wrap saved us thousands of dollars In the absence of water damage, these appliances would have been ruined. Although the seams of a moving truck do not leak because there are no openings in top or sides, that does not mean there are no holes. Please note
While we were moving, these blankets did exactly what we expected them to do- It is important to make sure our furniture is protected and a few other items. Also, the cost was the least (for blankets that were not of the best quality required by professional movers). Make sure that you are clear on what is expected if you are buying Any expectation that you will use these for more than a couple of uses (or hope that you can resell them, or wash them after using them) will be disappointing. In the case of tape applied directly to the blankets, it is likely that the fabric will either rip or come apart at the seams when it.

It is used to dampen the sound of This is not the intended use of these, but rather we are using them in a music studio for sound dampening
5/5

We ordered a second set and hung a double layer due to the single layer not working very well. We were able to create acoustic materials for a third of the price by using this method. Our team still has a few tweaks to make (mostly for electric bass) for more effective noise reduction. I would definitely rate these moving blankets as a five out of five.

You would think that it was thicker, but it is not thick as you You would be surprised to hear that it's not as thick as you might think
3/5

Professional piano mover once, and these are no where near the same level, if one can compare them to professional furniture movers. I would still say they are not very bad and should protect my furniture well for a long distance move. However, do not expect them to be super cushioned As a mover, I purchased these and the lighter version and to be honest, I didn't notice a huge difference between the two in thickness for the additional $30 dollars. The blankets in that sales photo are much thinner than that - they are very fluffed up in the photo. Attached you will find photos of me. These things did not smell at all, as some reviews said they did. My pair simply smelled like new The room was fresh and had no offensive odors.

Despite its thickness, this metal is not very It's okay to use these blankets
3/5

We are a moving company in my area and need a reliable blanket for one of our new trucks that is affordable, yet still of quality. It looks like they are thick, which is exactly what we wanted. In fact, after we moved the blanket for the first time, I was folding it and noticed that some of the layers had already worn through. About 100 miles are covered by standard pieces of furniture such as dressers and end tables. Our company moves hundreds of people every year, so these won't last for very.

I was pleasantly surprised at how effective this was at blocking traffic sounds A strong smell emanates from the package when opened
4/5

My intent was to hang these over windows in a video taking room where I record videos as a lot of traffic noise can be heard in the recording. Despite being surprisingly effective at blocking out the sound of cars passing by, this actually blocked out a lot of the sound. Over the windows, I hung them double layered. The answer could have been the same with one layer. I haven't tested it, but I think one layer could have been similar. They are perfect for the room I used them in, which has a large quantity of windows, so I bought this large pack of them. Upon opening the package, they did not smell good. The chemical smell is quite strong. They became more comfortable with being in the same room when it was just them in there. In spite of this, they still smell after I actually put my nose to them. As far as I'm concerned, I do not need to do that, so it's fine. I am not sure if they would hold up to washing. My guess is that they could survive a wash, but I haven't tested it yet. If you are not careful, they might rip when you hang them any way. As far as durability goes, they seem to be good, but they may rip when you hang them. As long as they are used for the general purpose most people use them for - moving - I think they would be fine.

You need to be careful if you have allergies! Although I'm not sure where these blankets came from, they were covered in a thick black powder that looked kind of dirty The bottles had a thin layer of yucky coating all over them and had an odd odor from living in a warehouse for years
4/5

When they arrived, the blankets were exposed after being packed tightly together in a heavy plastic container which had been torn when it arrived. It's true that I'm not using them primarily as moving blankets, but rather as sound blankets in my recording booth to dampen noise. I had an allergy attack a few hours after putting them up. It has something to do with the coating that I am allergic to. I am allergic to both mold and dust, so I am unsure which is causing this problem. My towels still have a strange odor despite being washed. Other than that, they help dampen sound and they are thick enough to be decent moving blankets, though you should be aware that they will be dirtier when delivered, so I recommend taking them home and washing them before putting them on furniture or anything that would The only thing that took one star away was the dirt but if you don't care about that, they're.
