There were still a few live bugs under the packaging that came out after unwrapping the piece. There were tunneling holes all over the piece. It took me a few days for me to stain and install my interior woodwork because I needed to fill in the wood and sand it.
I only wish the profile of the underside of the hardwood railings had been beveled so I could have filled the gap between one floor and another by having the threshold piece shorter in height. Otherwise, it looks good after I stained it and applied a couple coats of polyurethane to make it look like an existing floor that matches the existing color.
Rather than used on uneven surfaces, this transition mat is flat enough for use on level surfaces, such as from wood to vinyl flooring. A very nice piece of wood The surface did not have any chips or splinters, and there was no need to sand it. The wood is easy to paint or stain.
It is impossible to use a door threshold with a curled edge. No nails, screws, or liquid nail can keep them uncurled no matter what heavy weight sits on top of them. It doesn't seem to matter where this wood comes from, the manufacturer isn't doing a good job slicing.
This is a piece of wood used as a threshold to connect I found it to be suitable for my use. I used four nails to install, which took less than two minutes when it didn't come with any screws or nails. I decided to add a coat of polyurethane because it's incomplete, so I started with sanding.
The entire piece had to be cut to make two sides for a cabinet that had been water damaged on the bottom four It didn't pose any problems for them to stick on.
The board stained up nicely to match the newly refinished floors in the hallway and bedroom, adding a transition from carpet to hardwood. This is excellent. I'm very glad about this.
A perfect combination of a stylish design and ease of installation. When selecting the correct fastener size, it should be about equal to the thickness of most parquet.
