For $18, you can get a good set of sheet metal nippers
5/5

$27. This is fantastic. br>br>I attempted to saw several of these. It was a terrible experience. I discovered that a metal cutting scissors or nippers worked well for slicing these. Then, with pliers, bend the bent portion back. This saved me a lot of time and effort, not to mention the metal splatter. Almost every door in my house has one of these. In one night, I completed 7 or 8 of these. They've only been up for two weeks and the missus is ecstatic because of the reduction in pests such as rolly pollies, spidey webbies, inch worms, millipedes, and other such things. There's also the draft to consider. Even though we have those rubber seals under the doors, there is still a gap, and the batards always find a way in. br>br>I used a lutz ratchet hand screw driver to pre-drill teeny tiny holes in the door bottoms, about a quarter inch in diameter, using blue tape on the drill bit to guide me and obviously holding the sweep as a guide. To ensure the sweep was flush with the floor, I worked on the holes and screws one at a time. And I didn't want any extra holes ruining the doors or anything. br>br>Occasionally, the hole in your piece is in the wrong place when you cut it. Over the wood appears to be a weakening factor for your door. As a result, you'll need two drill bits to create new holes where they're needed. I'm talking about a teeny-tiny one. In addition, there's a 1/8" version. Drill the tiniest ones first; I found it more difficult to use the big bits first, so do the tiniest ones first, then switch to the 1/8" to ensure the screw fits. Make sure you have a shopvac on hand to clean up any small debris that accumulates at each doorway. br>br>I also used the "Open It!" command. " Green scissors to fine-tune door sweeper cuts; essential household scissors for opening all those impossible-to-open plastic packages. " Amazon boxes, for example.

This product does exactly what it says on the tin
4/5

My screened patio is accessible through two 36" doors. Both doors have gaps beneath them that are large enough for anoles to get in. I bought these to replace the existing door sweeps on the screen doors, which were ripped and bent. As you can see in one of the photos, I had to trim the rubber piece on one of them with a pair of scissors. Because the door's bottom edge was not parallel to the paver, I cut an angle on one of them. After trimming, I drilled new screw holes and bolted it to the door with the supplied screws. I had to make new screw holes because the old ones from the original door sweep didn't match up with this one. The other door sweep bolted on without needing to be trimmed, and it went on even quicker. Overall, I am pleased with the product's quality and appearance.

Excellent for preventing drafts through draughty doors
5/5

Due to a large gap under my condo door, this weather strip did an excellent job of keeping the draft out. Although the door already had a similar weather strip, this version has a much wider strip that seals all the way to the ground. It was easy to set up and only took a few minutes.

This item was defective, and I never had the opportunity to install it
3/5

It was defective before I even got to install it; half of it is hard and not flexible, while the other half is, and thus it cannot be installed. I'm going to contact the manufacturer for a replacement because it comes with a lifetime warranty. We'll see if they honor the warranty. I've never had a problem like this before, and in my job as a handyman for a real estate company, I've installed hundreds of these types of things.

Interior door seals are a breeze with this product

I used three of these to seal the bottoms of three interior doors in my cigar lounge to prevent smoke from entering the adjacent room, and they worked perfectly. It was a breeze to put together!.

Light, air, and gaps are all blocked by "Good Looks. " It can also be used to keep bugs out of your house. For restoring an old door, this is a great option.

Installing it was fairly simple, and it performed admirably
5/5

It's fairly simple; the width is the same as stated, but I had to cut a small piece off because my door trim was a little too thick. That's fine; I needed to use my Dremel for something new. lol.

This was not at all what I had anticipated
3/5

As a result, there was a dent in this product. It had been twisted. To avoid the hassle of returning it, I straightened it as much as I could and used it as is, but there is still an unsightly bump as you can see in the photo. Oh well.
