This is a good pass through material for chicken coops, pens, and runs. My problem with the product was the handling of the "D" on the shaft, which did not meet my expectations. It is difficult to view through the door because there is insufficient room between the shaft and the frame. When I was closing the door, I let it smash my finger. In the end, I had to go back to a different manufacturer so that the shaft can go through the "D". A smashed finger is a thing of the past. Other applications that do not require the "D" to be used as a handle (nesting box lid, storage closet door, feed bin lid, etc. ) will be handled by these bolts.
