In fact, yes. My purpose is to use it on that. My apartment is much safer than my old one, and I am so glad I moved in.
I am ecstatic to introduce to you the SECURITYBAR. Doors with hinges are covered in black caps, while those with sliding doors would be covered in white caps.
This doesn't seem to be the case
In spite of the fact that they are compatible, they cannot be connected without any additional components. If you don't know if a product is safe or if the integrity of it is questionable.

A year ago, I purchased this security bar from Amazon because I'm a college student living off campus in a non-ideal area of the city. The door that leads directly to my bedroom opens right out into the street, so being on my own scared me to death and I knew I had to take additional precautions. The house where I was staying for the holidays was broken into just a couple days ago (no one was at home because it was empty). There are four doors in our house that can be used for either entrance or exit, but the door in my bedroom is the one that these particular robbers selected as an exit. Due to the security bar, they were unable to enter my home even though they were able to break the lock on my door. The experience I had (as well as the multiple times I exited through a different exit and tried to enter my door, forgetting to put a security bar in place) have solidified my confidence in this product, which is why I wanted to share it with all of you. A product like this one is ideal for those who are renting and are looking for a product that will provide them with peace of mind on the one hand, but also work in case they need it on the other.
I find it to be a very useful tool. My door is more secure, thanks to it. In spite of my son's 300 pounds and 6 feet, 2 inches height, he could not open the door. You can easily put the doorknob under it, and you can remove it as well.
This is what I use instead and it works great! Despite the rubber footing holding firmly to my laminate and the rubber connection under the doorknob that doesn't slide or mar it, the hardware is not marred. There is a lot of adjustment and the frame is very sturdy. There are no plastic parts in this product. Moreover, the device comes with rubber tips that can be used to convert it from a doorknob-like device to one which can be mounted in a sliding door track or as a window-securing device. My favorite aspect of this product is the security features it offers. I will likely order additional copies The product, the price, or the speed in which I received it did not disappoint me.
Despite the holes in the adjustment button, you can barely see it in this picture. The bar collapses instantly with a light tap or even by just pushing the two pieces together. As I couldn't find a better solution, I used the ends of a piece of shelving leg on my door for the moment.
Two of these were ordered, one for the front door and one for the back door. If nothing else, at least it might slow someone down, so that's good enough for me for now.
You can never be too safe, right? Even though I'm in a 24 hour security building with K9 and a surveillance camera just outside my door, it's hard to be too safe, As a single person living by myself, I value my safety, and a security bar keeps my mind at ease at night. Even though I do not live in a questionable apartment complex, I value my safety, and therefore I value my security. I would suggest it to someone who lives on a lower level in their complex or has a patio, which I do not have plus I live on the upper floor, as it is a simple to put together product.
Because of this, there was too much pressure on the door knob. It will no longer be possible to close the door knob latch. There is only one way to make the door stay closed at this moment to put a heavy object in front of it. My door knob / latch needs to be replaced or fixed until I can get a handyman here. As you can see from the picture, the security stick applied so much pressure to the door knob that the door knobs/handles moved by a quarter It's not letting me upload the photo, however. I presently have a door that anyone could open just by pushing it open and walking into my house because of this product. Unless you have a good reason, I recommend you avoid this. *EDIT

In addition to stopping doors from being opened from the outside, this part works well for blocking opening of sliding doors that enter my home. I have not used it for preventing sliding doors from opening but am using it as a means to stop doors from entering my house from the outside. I've tested it on hard wood and tile floors, and both of them stayed in place. There were no problems with slippage. The next time I'm at the store I'm going to buy some more for my office door and to give to my kids' teachers.
