Are Aspirins Safe For Pets?? No matter how well you prepare food, give Ibuprofen to your pet only when it is not required. The anti-inflammatory medications ibuprofen and naproxen can treat inflammation and pain in animals, but pets shouldn't have access to the medications. There is danger to dogs and cats of toxic (poisonous) chemicals contained in these drugs.
There is an exceptionally small amount of safety that applies to ibuprofen. In one dosage, divided to 5 mg, 5 kg per day is recommended. Until now, the standard dosage of 8 mg/kg per day or ten days had been proved invaluable for detecting signs of toxicity. The dogs showed no clinical signs until the dosage was increased dramatically. Gas- tric ulcers and inflammation occurred within the intestinal tract.

The pics all show D&D Technologies on the latch. I have used D&D Technologies patches and this is a VERY cheap knockoff of the real thing. Box was not damaged but latch was already broken on arrival and key was bent. Doesn’t have any brand name on it anywhere. Hard, brittle plastic instead of the polymer that D&D Technologies uses. Would NOT recommend
We used this latch on a Westbury gate and 4x4 post. Installation was extremely easy with little chance for error. The instructions were detailed and every installation part was included in the package. I believe I had it installed in less than 15 minutes.
The latch closes tightly without issue, has a slim enough profile to not cause issues with the gate, deck/drink railing or posts and is easy to open. We don’t use the key feature, but I did test it to ensure it works. Overall, I’d recommend this latch for pets and kids.
Overall the install was very simple and straightforward. However the hardware that was included does not support wooden fence. As you can see in the picture The screw that it came with this kit is meant for metal or vinyl fence. Other than that it seems pretty sturdy. Only time will tell how durable this product is in comparison to an all metal latch.
This latch is priced fairly however, it gets “stuck” open at least half of the time you open the door. The moving clasp gets caught up inside the housing and you need a pair of needlenose pliers to pull it out (which even then is not easy.) When this clasp gets stuck the lock is useless because the clasp isn’t in the position to hold the door shut. I will need to purchase another brand to comply with zoning. I can’t risk having an open door when I have an inground pool in my back yard.
We needed a way to move through our patio gates with plates and glasses in one hand without the dog taking advantage of our impaired mobility to make her escape.
The LokkLatch meets our need perfectly.
They aren't cheap, but they're solid in that 'thunk' sort of car-door way. They're easy to install. And they allow for simple one-hand management.
We're sold.
We have several cat fences. The door frame is made up of smaller pipes than most standard chain link fences. We looked everywhere for a lock that would fit the pipe. After endless searching we found these. Ordered just one to be sure it would work. Works like a charm. We have a tall gate door so we use two on each door to make sure no kitties escape. We were a little worried the lock would engage while we were inside the fence and we'd have a hard time unlatching it. But, not a problem at all. Easy to unlatch, and for the most part it latches automatically once the gate swings closed. We purchased 4. The only issue we've had with one is locking it. We have to jiggle the key a bit to get it to lock all the way, but the rest are fine. Highly suugest these. Very sturdy and well built.
Let's get real: if someone wants into your yard, they can just break the latch or jump the fence. NO gate latch is going to keep out someone who seriously wants in.
That being said, this latch is sturdy, and has a built in lock which says, "not welcome" to someone who tries to open the gate when it's locked. It looks very nice: if you're spending hundreds of dollars on a beautiful metal gate, you want a nice looking latch to go along with it. This latch is very attractive.
It's a great Latch by the cheaper one.
