This sliding bolt has its own bolt catch (which many others lack) as well as extremely strong screws. br>By removing the stud guide screw and re-installing it, you can easily reconfigure it. Pull the spring back to release the slide bolt, which is sprung in the extended position.
My problem was solved thanks to this latch. I've had it for about a year, and unlike previous latches, my Houdini horse has never let himself out. And because the gate is either clearly matched shut or open, the risk of human error is greatly reduced. We had previously added a snap to a more traditional latch, and if I, my husband, or our farm sitter forget the extra snap (which we all did), Houdini will notice and open the gate. There's no extra snap to remember with this latch, and my horse hadn't figured out how to open it with his prehensile lips yet. I'm very pleased with this product; it's sturdy and long-lasting.
I bought several more after trying one. They've now been installed on all of our gates. br>Excellent product!.
It's a lot bigger than you think. The ability to move upwards or downwards is provided by the spring. There are no half-latches; it is either fully latched or completely unlatched. latched in an unusual manner Heavy-duty, top-of-the-line hardware that is simple to set up. br>br>It is actually somewhat burglar-proof; however, figuring out how it works requires a lot of thought. It's very simple to use once you get the hang of it. Someone who is in a rush will not be able to open it. br>br>I put top and bottom on a double gate and spent a lot of money on it.
Strong. It's brilliant. It was well worth the money. br>I used it to close a 4'x8' custom-made door, and it worked flawlessly.
I welded them to a trailer as part of a custom application. There are no problems.
