When there are a lot of door screws, the frame tends to tear out more easily. Contractors usually use the 1" screws they give you to save money, but replacing them with deeper screws works just as well. It's best if you go deeper than the 2" they give you, but the 2" ones will suffice. When it comes to screws, the main issue is that making them too hard makes them brittle, so going for softer and longer is preferable to going for sheer hardness. When it comes to screw tearing vs. wood, the wood will last much longer than the metal. The best course of action is to dig deeper.
Dear customer, Because it must be installed on the door frame, we recommend using it on a single door, but it can also be used if one of your French doors can be fixed.
Dear Customer: This door lock works best on a flat door frame, but it will also work on a door with a decoration of less than 0. 5 cm.

The instructions were limited, as they are with most gadgets. It is, however, a well-known fact that I'm confident that it will keep my toddlers from sneaking out at night because it is a well-made, high-quality product. I've included a video that demonstrates how I installed it and how it functions. It is hoped that this information will be beneficial to you.
I'm really enjoying the added security. Knowing that we have additional protection allows me to sleep better at night. One is on our hallway door, which I've installed. That way, when we transition our children to toddler beds, I won't have to worry about them getting up in the middle of the night and getting into mischief. For this mama bear, it's just a little more peace of mind!.
A fraction of a second can mean the difference between life and death. Take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of yourself and your loved ones. To go with my cameras and motion sensors, I installed this product on all of my doors. I'm going to buy some for everyone in my family. You can't put a price on your security. Buy it. It's well worth the money, and God bless you. Be safe.
This door lock is incredibly simple to set up and operates flawlessly. Before permanently affixing screws, make sure you drill pilot holes. I attempted to open the door from the outside after the installation was complete, but it did not nudge in the slightest. I pushed and pushed, but there was no way I was going to get in. I don't believe this reinforcement lock is impenetrable, but it would take a lot of effort for the bad guys to break in. The price was fantastic, and it was unquestionably a wise investment.
It's incredibly simple to set up, and it looks great. It's also extremely safe. As a police officer with CEPTED and other crime prevention training, I can attest to the effectiveness of a secondary lock like this in preventing forced door entry. This will also prevent your children from slipping out the front door and into the street. br>br>Here's my installation advice. By holding it up to the light and ensuring that the door does not make contact with the lock when opening and closing, you can figure out where it will fit best on your door frame. Then trace the perimeter of the screw plate on the frame, leaving a mark. Take the wood in that space out with a chisel and hammer, lightly taping it out. Then, in that chisled opening, place the screw plate. 3 inch screws should be used, which you can buy separately. The extra security of 3 inches is a nice touch. Fill in any gaps with wood filler, sand it down, and then paint it. When you're done, it'll be perfect. (Yes, the final finish will require sanding and painting. ).
The lock has become stuck after a little more than half a year, and the only way to unlock it is to pry it open with a screwdriver. As a result, rather than being a safety feature, it has now become a safety hazard.
This is the third one I bought. The spring retention on the lock on the door that we use the most has failed. The lock sags when it is unlocked. That is supposed to be prevented by the lock's spring. It lasted about a year and a half. Take a look around. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. I received a replacement from the merchant, but it is extremely difficult to close. So here's the second strike.
They are inexpensive and incredibly simple to set up. If someone were to try to break into your house, the product would provide a good second layer of security. These are an excellent option for securing doors (if mounted high enough) to prevent children from unexpectedly opening doors and exiting a home. We have three of these in our house, and they're all great.
