This deadbolt and knob combo is supposed to work with a drive-in latch, so I bought it. Only one circular collar was included (for the knob) when I received the package. Kwikset was more than helpful when I called them, on a Saturday no less. Upon inquiry, they explained that the deadbolt does not come with the components needed to install in a drive-in. The company was willing to ship the required part to me for free. In less than a week, it was here, and we were able to install both on our metal entry door without any issues. This beautiful finish covers the entire area that was unpainted under the old handle, which means there is no unsightly ring of old paint color showing around the new fixture. There is only one thing I don't like about the jamb (on the strike plate). Unless we want to make a new strike plate, we will have to leave our old one in place unless we want to shape it differently.

Two sets of these were bought and with the first set, I found that the provided key would not work in the deadbolt. It worked just fine on the knob but not at all with the deadbolt. The key that came with the box was the one that I discovered was not working. They forgot to switch the deadbolt in a way that worked with the key that was included. The smartkey feature could not be used for rekeying, since you need a working key to make use of it. With the help of a YouTube video, I managed to disassemble the deadbolt locking mechanism and reset the pins so that I was able to lock the door again The smartkey feature allows you to open the lock using your smartphone. Depending on your level of experience, this can be a little tricky, but if you set your mind to it, it's within reach It was easier and faster for me to do this instead of having it replaced. However, this set is awesome in every other aspect! It feels like the knobs have a nice heft to them and they feel very sturdy. You'll love how the finish feels. They were class 3s after all. The first three sets of these I bought were in Prior to writing a review, I thought it would be best to give them a few months to get used to them. It turned out that two packages had already been delivered with the same key. While rekeying the third lock, it took me more time to read the instruction than it did to rekey the first In general, all the locks have worked well over the past few months, even when used daily.
