It may work, I would say. A mortise lock mechanism where a 1/4-inch shaft had been installed for the original door knob was fitted with this knob The knob kit in this picture is also one inch wide. I was able to utilize this when it was needed.
The thickness is 2 1/4 inches. This is essentially the same size as a doorknob.
It would be great to get an answer to this question since I also have a 5/8th inch collar to work with. Have you tried it yet?

Throughout the years, I have had to replace the knobs on many doors that have the old style doors. There is a lack of quality in a lot of knobs I have purchased from several vendors. I do not like the quality of the screws. It's hard to turn the door knob because it's old. There are some door knobs that are like stars, but this one is like a rock star. My experience over the years has shown that the quality of the knob is stronger than most, and the quality of the product in general is some of the best. needed to change a part of the knob or adjust it but have not had to make any adjustments to the It would have taken a long time for other knobs to function, according to our past experience. I like this knob very much. We were happy with the price and the ease of installation, and we have not needed to make any repairs.
Hardware that works well. If you want to save yourself the headache of re-writing If you get a small tube of thread lock when you buy it, then you can tighten the screws that hold the knob in place without having to use more thread lock.
Handles that are like this are awful! It is as if they will not turn and will not stay where they belong. The program wd- is not working for me Then I worked on it for another hour twice to try and get it to loosen up. That isn't going to happen. In the past I've had one of these before which I purchased from Walmart, I worked for a while until the knob broke off and I am unable to repair it. Therefore, I thought this would be a good idea to try selling on Amazon. The prices are about the same and the items are about the same. The knobs are not the easiest to keep oiled or to install. There is no work they want to do. In the current situation, I cannot close my bedroom door as I will get stuck inside. It was primarily purchased to be able to lock that door, however I didn't manage to accomplish this. After a long search, I decided to just install a chain latch which works regardless of whether the door is shut or not. It is useless. Returning it would have been the right thing.
The number of these in Albany is huge since I am a landlord. As an inexpensive finish, they are mostly effective and are inexpensive. This finish will age and wear quickly, so it is not the best finish to use. The finish on this item seems to be of higher quality than the bright brass finish, and it will age more gracefully with use than the bright brass finish. The locktite blue threadlocker should be used if the set bolt comes loose. It is just a matter of repeating yourself Intensely tightening it would result in it being ripped apart. The loctite blue is my go-to for most installations. To get the best result, try getting an old knob from a salvage yard or place that deals in architectural components. It's a really great product, and it's affordable and authentic at the same time.
The glass knobs are going to replace the old metal knobs on the Defender mortise set. A day later, the epoxy failed and the glass knobs on both sides came loose. In order to replace the glass knobs with something more durable, I wanted to make sure they wouldn't break. It looks like the originals fit nicely and are in keeping with That their colors matched so well is nice as well. The other glass knobs I have may not last longer, so I plan to get more.
What matters to me is not that I love it, but that it matches exactly what I ordered, what I thought I was ordering, and nothing more or The knobs are made of good quality, threaded for set screws, and can be adjusted by rotating them around the spindle, then tightening the set screw to stop the rotation. This kit includes the knobs, spindle, and screws. It is hard to say anything bad about the items because they do what they are intended to do, they feel and look very good quality, and I would buy them again (probably will).
It is exactly the way it is described. As opposed to the antique knobs it replaced, the new ones are slightly lighter. Despite this, the finish has been able to withstand a few weeks of daily wear and tear without fading or chipping. Additionally, the shaft of the replacement knob does not have a tendency to 'round over' like other replacement knobs I've tested.
The color suits the nearly-white doorknobs in my house, and they are quite strong The number 100 The year is There is an old house here. It is simply a matter of tightening two screws to install the spindle that's included. As long as you know how to use both flathead and Phillips' head screws, the task is easy.
