A dead bolt and a knob do come in more than one type. Please watch the video on the installation of the software on the website.

Is that screw long enough to go into the frame of the door? Since there is a glass window on the right side of the door, it isn't very thick?

There are about 2 inches between them. In addition, you may need to do a lot of renovations to your doorframe in order to make it If I want mine to fit, I have to shave off 1/4 of an inch and not the whole length. I found this to be an excellent idea and it was recommended by the local police department. As a result, it sits in my closet until I can get someone to do the frame work to make it In Alaska, I had to pay an additional 30 dollars to have it shipped here since the screws were too long. But if the screws were too long, you could go to Home Depot and get shorter ones, and ask if they have installation options. I wish you the best of

Does the "hinge reinforcement" have to be taken off before the door can be installed?

In order to replace the hinge on both sides (door and jamb), attach two new screws. It is not necessary to remove the hinges.

There will be a sense of security for you

Having looked at a number of similar products for door jamb reinforcement, and trying out this product after having it recommended by a professional who is contracted to reinforce door entries, I decided it was the best choice. To understand why, consider these factors The pros are Please note
With very little carpentry, it can be installed in virtually any doorway. Please note *br*br*- You can be sure that your door jam will never be broken. Therefore, no one will be able to force their way into your house. Please note *br*br*- This will take care of the following three potential failure Three things need to be fixed first 1) the jamb, 2) the deadbolt split, and The reinforced parts are all present. Please note *br*br*- The product is of a quality finish, well engineered it has no cons. Please note
As long as you take longer than 30 minutes for installation, it won't be enough. It's always something you have to adjust, fix, tweak. I've done 3 doors. I'm a handy guy, have all of the tools, etc. I'm a good mason as well. The time it takes me to open each door is Please note *br*br*- The three specific products I would like to see are Each door is divided into three sections one for left opening doors, one for right opening doors, and one for doors without One product that can cater to all needs appears a bit tacky with all their punch out holes. The easy part is for them the ugly part is Please note *br*br*- All the text they stamp on the product to make it look branded is unnecessary to me. The company could simply put their name in small print on the bottom of the product, but instead you door jam becomes a branded space that they can fill with words. I would recommend it all the same, however. We need to reinforce doors since the most common way burglars get into a home is through them. For a standard door to come crashing down, four seconds are required. I encourage you to consider it.

features replacement screws for both sides of your door's hinges (door side and frame side), which bite into more than just the flimsy frame, an anti-theft device to prevent your door from being opened by accident There are two types of metal reinforcements on the frame the pry plate and the dual metal. In these photos there is no one in sight The frame reinforcement strip is too narrow for the standard frame. If that happens, you will need to use an oscillating tool like the DeWalt DCS356B to undercut the piece of wood where the door closes against so that the reinforcement strip will slip under it just a little bit, so that the door can close properly.

It could take about 1 minute to make To make it more compatible with all types of doors, it is 2 mm thinner

My front door had been pried open by first responders after I had been away from home during a carbon monoxide alert for the entire building, and the door jamb had been damaged. Looking online for an easy way to fix this, I found none. My first task was to re-do the story Glue the pieces of wood together using a lot of patience and wood glue. There was nothing that was completely right, It was then time to install Strikemaster 2 Pro. It took me about an hour to follow the instructions, drill holes, install screws, etc. When they went to close the door, they found that some sections of the door were slightly thicker. In order to even out some of the areas, I used a hammer and a wood block, but closing the door still takes a bit of force. As soon as it is closed, the deadbolt and main lock fit like a glove they are actually more comfortable It has been reported that the condo builders have installed the new doors in a sloppy manner and even damaged the original ones. This is my first time living in this condominium, and I asked them to fix the door before closing, so I'm aware of the "history" of the door. In the meantime, I also replaced all six hinge screws, but I was confused on why there were still 2 left over. A total of five 5" screws are needed. Upon reading the fine print, I realized that those items are important for the frame as well. It is located on the hinge side. Although I am thinking of installing the door edge pro, I wish to find out what color the front door paint is before I do so. Otherwise, we will have to deal with the HOA In addition, it would likely attract attention and stand out like a sore thumb. As a whole I give it four stars because it is easy to install if you have never had the door kicked in or if you have a new door frame. You may have different results if this is not the case.

There is no one size fits all when it comes to clothing
4/5

It has not been put to any tests, but I have noticed that it is built well. It is undoubtedly the long screws on the door that give it its security and strength. Having trouble fitting the unit between my door and the jam, I had to route the jam in order to get it to Further, the pre- and post- Due to my spacing from the door knob to the deadbolt, the cut hole for the deadbolt does not match the spacing of my door knob. Therefore, I had to file the hole in order to make it fit. It is important to remember that not all spacing is the same, and you may need to adjust your design to make it work. Having installed it, it looks pretty clean after the installation and it certainly is a lot stronger than the standard strike plates alone. I recommend it for securing your door, all in all.

First and foremost, keep yourself safe! The house in which my sister lived was broken into during the snowstorm This made us realize that our own doors need to be looked at You have two entries, one at the front and one at the garage

(Many thanks to everyone who left a personal comment on Amazon - he read many reviews! ), we chose this particular product to reinforce I was pleased with the timely arrival of my goods and the packaging. thought that perhaps he made a mistake because of the high price. NO, it's not true. Despite the fact that he can install almost anything, he was horrified when he saw the length of the screws holding the door in place! So he completely reinstalled the door reinforcements and took the doors apart again. A good addition to the security of our front door, and the color of the doorbell's band Besides the one we ordered for the garage entry, we also ordered another one for the bedroom. MEDECO locks were then added, and now that all this is in place we believe it wasn't a waste of time. A little bit of safety is never a bad thing.

Reinforce the door of your safe home with a door reinforcer
5/5

Three of my doors were reinforced with the Safe Homes Door Reinforcer. It may just have been luck that I did not have to make any modifications to any of the doors. A total of two pieces of metal make up the kit. There are two pieces that fit perfectly between the door and frame replacing the lock and deadbolt strike plates. They are each 90 millimeters thick. Utilized the included extra long screws to attach the hinges to the door frame and used 2 long screws to fasten each hinge to the door frame. The hinges on the doorside also have longer screws. Overall it is easy to install, giving us a greater peace of mind and making our doors more secure. I am quite satisfied with the overall outcome.
