These hinges seem to be well-made, and they seem to last the distance compared to those that cost two or three times as much at big brand stores. They actually have a better finish than the popular brand I bought for another door, and I will be ordering another pair of these for my front door to keep my kids and other neighborhood kids out. My house should be less susceptible to flies and mosquitoes once I have this installed. There is no telling what will happen.

In addition to the function of these hinges, they are very sleek in appearance. When following the instructions, it is easy to install and adjust. The door does not close as smoothly or as easily as it would if it were installed in exactly the same "footprint" as the old standard hinge. In essence, even though the old hinge was exactly the same, this hinge is slightly thicker. Using a planing tool, we worked along the edge of the door to eliminate the problem. However, it was a bit of a hassle.

Everything you need is included in this box, so it's very easy to install. A single chain is all that I needed to make the door swing back to the jamb. It works very well and it is easy to adjust. My dog leaves a door wide open when he comes in when he comes home, so I will use the other one. As of yet, I have not taught him how to close the door behind him.

It seems that the two sides of the door do not close flush against one another, which results in the door sitting about 1/8in further out, which, in my case, interfered with the weather stripping It is made worse by the fact that the screws provided are oversized, so they don't sit flush either, enlarging existing holes making it impossible to reinstall the original hinges. This is awesome.

It was an unfortunate habit of my cat to eat the shower curtain in the guest bathroom. My problem was that I needed a solution for him. I have no idea why he likes this. A spring hinge is the perfect solution since buying new shower curtains every month is not a good idea. In this case, the job is done In less than 10 minutes, I installed it and selected the tension for the weight of the door. Having a happy customer and safe shower curtains is important to us.

This item was sent to the wrong address. Considering that I wanted these as a direct drop-in replacement and the rounded edges were not provided, I returned these. They appear well made and appear to last a reasonable time. However, they arrived with squared off edges on one side and rounded edges on the other side. Since the item itself looked good, there was no need to knock off a star They said the product was made, but sent me the wrong item so I cannot confirm that it was made.

As I purchased hinges that fit both left and right handed doorways, it did not matter which hinges I chose. Upon receiving the hinges, I realized they were only right hand I found that the adjustment holes were supposed to be pointing up for spring loaded, but every instruction I have found says to keep them down. There is nothing wrong with the product, it seems good quality, but the description needs to change.

When ordering this item, I expected to receive two hinges (as mentioned in the brief When I first ordered, I only received 1 hinge and assumed it was just a fluke, so I ordered again I ordered it. In addition to only having one hinge, the second order also arrived without a Having said that, the hinges are as well designed and perform as they should! I was hoping for two, but received only one.
