I had trouble finding a large supply in matte black and these are exactly what I was looking for. Big box stores would state the color to be matte black, but upon arrival, products were usually oil rubbed bronze in color. Amazon was the first place I thought about looking, and I am glad I looked there. Those were exactly what I was looking for for my project and I will be ordering more in the There are two hinges that are solid, the screws match, each one is individually wrapped, and there is zero rust on them, and they are painted matte black.

My door is now in top condition. The first thing to note is that EVERY door hinge should come with 3-dimensional mounting plates Screws should be 4", not these little 1"ers, because that will not be taken into account here. As I ordered 6 hinges, I got more than I needed (as I ordered the extra two instead of 6), but I'm sure I'll find a use for those There are screws drilled in a different pattern than the original door however, one hole on each is in alignment, so it was easier to align. Maybe I'll add a pic later on.

A non-partisan organization Holes should be drilled at standard It appears that these hinges are well built and the finish is nice and There is a problem with the holes in the door that do not seem to line up with standard 4 hole hinges. My attempt to use these on several doors in my house was unsuccessful because the holes never aligned Since the existing hole is so close to where the new holes will line up, I am unwilling to drill into the doors because those holes will likely strip or blow out if I drill them in.

It is important to note that the hole patterns in these 4" hinges do NOT match existing exterior door hinges from the United States. I'm sure you'd be able to get them if you needed them for a new installation. It is sturdy, it has a good latch, etc. China made the product even so.

The previous hinge holes on my door did not align, but I don't believe this was due to faulty hinges, as others have mentioned. There seems to be no difference in alignment between other 4 hole hinges. Other 3 hole hinges I have ordered feel much better and I feel they are stronger than these, which feel cheap and weak. Having a good finish is the most likely option, since there aren't many other options.

There appears to be a problem with the item I was sent. There are 4 holes shown in the picture and it describes a black product with a height of 4 inches. Three holes were there, one of which was smaller than 4 inches, and the color was bronze rather than black. Now I have to return them.

The package I received, however, was not addressed to me. Now I'll have to reorder from somewhere else or return and reorder from elsewhere, so I'm upset about this.
