My search for what I needed ended here
4/5

These are hard to find in large box stores any longer. As a result, I had to resort to online orders. The hinges are In order to give a wheelchair more room, there are doors that get moved out of the way. The only hinge without screws is the one on the hinge. The ones in this article did not. There is no major problem here, but it is The screws I needed were not available, so I went to the store to get them. It was impossible for me to retake the test Rather than buying new screws, use the old ones. It was a real challenge to pull them out with all of the paint that had accumulated over the years.

Expand a doorway so a wheelchair or other means of access can pass through it
5/5

The Home Depot, Ace Hardware, and Lowes stores do not stock this product. Especially helpful in older homes with narrower doorways, such as those where you cannot use a wheelchair or pass furniture through, because the door gets in the way and reduces the amount of space available. The item makes the door appear to be set farther back, without affecting the ability to open or close it. The cost of dealing with doorways and fitting new doors is substantially reduced by not having to undergo major construction.

This method works well and adds inches to the door without having to add any construction to the frame
5/5

We got these to try because the previous wheels were repaired in a way that widened the chair frame just slightly too much, causing it to scrape the door. Using these hinges, the door opens to a sufficient degree that no scrapes or scratches occur on the door, the frame, or the chair. They fit perfectly on the original locations of the other hinges. I really enjoy working with them! This is a product I would recommend wholeheartedly to anyone who wants to add even 1/8 of an inch to their door if need be, like we did or the amount you would have if you removed the door you a wonderful sense of privacy and protects the door/frame against any damage caused by walking a wheelchair past it or moving items in and out of it.

After ankle surgery, I was in a wheelchair so our bathroom door wasn't wide enough to accommodate my wheelchair. The hinges we used were the perfect solution to our problem allowing two more.
