The fuel cap of my 2010 F-150 won't stay closed while it's running, so I thought I'd try it; the reviews do not give the same degree of approval as that, to fix the fuel cap on my 2010 F-150 that wouldn't stay closed, My recommendation: try this for sure

It simply requires a few videos per reference, takes about ten minutes to install. The entire movie took 15 minutes. It still snagged in the first couple of days, but then the door should close again. I'm surprised it still has a bead even after closing on Monday. This is now more than 20 times smoother than when it was first done. Although I am not overly impressed with the workmanship on this piece, I feel that the aluminum should hold up against a OEM-type finish for at least 11 years.

Getting the fit was easy

Though the pin itself was easy to install, it took me a little while (30 minutes) than I projected. As far as I'm concerned, I think the role is very strong, so I think my money is worth it. fixed, but a new one arrived.

A major improvement over Ford's design

Since its launch, it has worked well. The fuel door has been tightened. I can't imagine how difficult it is to get the fuel door handles out, you feel the urge to rush. The manufacturer of the part does not have any responsibility for it. Again, Ford's design bears responsibility for it. With the plastic hinge in place, it only fit one way, after you get used to it. The spring arrived after awhile, but it works now. Additionally, it feels strong.

I highly recommend you install the U Tube videos. These metal hinge replacement parts are value for the money and a good replacement for an old plastic hinge that is worn out in about 5 years.

A permanently repaired design after a flawed one has been made

For this project I would rather replace the plastic hinge with a metal one than replace the whole door assembly with one that has already broken. This could solve all your repair problems.
