I guess I was right about my gamble. Despite being identical in size (and screw hole pattern) to the existing hinges, these were installed exactly the same way. Gamble, because I would have never thought something like this would allow me to swap out the hinges with the door still in place, and with no additional modifications to the door or jamb (like the way you usually have to chisel it in place).
