Questions & Answers

Can you tell me how long the cylinder is?

Please let me know if you have any questions. There is no specific answer to that question, but I would like to get it for you as soon as possible.

Would there be a way to make it easier to open from just 1/4 open to fully open without hard closing?

It is only possible to move the screw at the right end of the cylinder to adjust its slow or fast closing speed. In addition to the more affordable closers, more adjustments are available with other models.

Is there a difference between the 820 and 920 models?

Approximately 45 degrees of opening are available with 820. There are 920 windows that are open to 90 degrees and beyond.

The V920 has a shorter length than the V920, which is 1.2 inches longer. ?

The piston body of the V920 is 11 inches long. The human body is 25 inches long. In this case, the pin that holds it to the door is included, however, the shaft that extends and contracts with the opening and closing of the door is not included. The V1020WH is unknown in terms of its length.

Andersen 3000 series doors are easy to upgrade with this product! Half-empty bottles are stored in half-empty containers Glass-covered screen), which consists of a black front door cover and a white back door cover
5/5

But the closer that comes with the Andersen doors does not all the way open to Although I have no idea why that wasn't working, it was driving me crazy, so I got this to replace it. There's something very nice about the Andersen's foot-shaped top Holding the door open with an activated lock switch. This one uses the old-fashioned slide tab instead. The foot tab is convenient, but the fact that it does not open to a full 90 degrees is a deal breaker, so the stock closer was retired. As I already had the Andersen closers installed, I just removed the two pins from the former and inserted the new closer, using the pins that came with it. The pneumatic part needed a little adjustment (you have to loosen the screw at the end to make it close a little quicker) but it is working as it should! I just thought I would point that out There are two holes on the top of the closer. One is intended for a glass door and the other is for a screen door, according to the instructions. My preference was to use the door closing hole next to the screen door because it performed better and was easier to adjust once the door latches shut. My brackets I already had installed (Andersen brackets already installed), so I did not need to use the brackets that came with the door, but they looked cheap and weak compared to the brackets that came It still gets 5 stars, however, since it's advertised as "standard-duty" closer and the brackets would have been perfectly adequate if they had been used. I am happy to see that now the doors open a full 90 degrees (just past 90, maybe even 100 degrees) and I am very happy about it!.

The door keeps slamming shut no matter how hard I try
3/5

My front porch screen door was wearing out, so I replaced the worn out closer with this product. It is the same for me as for others who have tried everything to keep the door from shutting on the last bit of By slowing it down with the adjustment screw, you can ensure a good seal until it reach the no resistance section of the door. When it reaches that point, no matter what speed you have it at or what hole it's connected to, it just slams shut. When it comes to my old one, she never did it with such force. This was bought quite some time ago, and I'm shopping around for a replacement at the moment. There is something wrong here that bothers me a lot.

The closer seems to be better than Anderson
5/5

The closers of an Anderson 2000 storm door I installed less than a year ago were bent during a recent storm. The door flung open and the closers fell off. It has only been a few days since I received this and it has already improved my life. This means 1*. The barrel is thicker than a standard rifle barrel, but it fits perfectly in length. The door bracket was already mounted on the door, so it was easy to use it. Winds damaged the bracket on the jamb as well, so the bracket would not have been able to be installed. I used the jamb bracket that was included with my purchase to replace the damaged one. 3.

Using the lowest heavy duty closer and the upper regular duty closer from the same manufacturer, I installed the door. decided to adjust the upper part to close hard and the lower part to close soft, which worked better than trying to get both to close at the same time. I am able to close and latch the door every time now, but I could not get the Anderson closers to function in this way. 3

I have noticed that the door is feeling heavier now and is not blowing open in the wind as much as it used to. A chain which could be hooked around the upper closer bracket pin was installed as an added measure. As the product is only a few days old, I cannot comment on how long it will last. I will update this review if I find the products fail prematurely. They are still working if there is no update.

It is guaranteed to quickly rust
3/5

This company has gone from strength to weakness. There is always a lot of rust on their products. The attached photos are available for viewing. The last time I had to replace these units was about six months ago. They used to last ten years when they were first introduced.

I like it a lot
5/5

A consistently high level of Limit the number of characters - There should be a chain to hold the wind. A door exposed to the elements. After a lengthy comparison, I decided not to buy this item As a replacement for the existing model on my Emco (Anderson) storm-door closer, I bought it Across the threshold. The door that I purchased had this model number when I bought my home, and I am not sure if it is the original. As designed, the closer closes fairly effectively, and my first impression was that it seemed to work well This heavy Emco door is made of metal. The original piston was shaped like a When I bought the home, the shaft was bent (but still functioning), so I initially replaced it with the same model number, sourced from Lowe's - but it never worked again. There is a label on the cylinder of the original closer and Lowe's replacement from 2014 that says 'Made in USA. The replacement (same model number), purchased from Amazon in Dec 2016, was made in China (it is labelled only on the package, not on actual item). As a result, it appears manufacturing has been relocated The first two were replaced for the following reasons, therefore, I cannot speak on their longevity When my storms are severe, I found that There is sometimes a problem with the door not being fully closed and it's a high-speed door If it's a windy day, the door will be blown open so violently the closer will get bent, the piston will collapse, and the hinge will break Darn a rod and darn a darn a darn This nearly rips the mounting bracket off the frame of the door The closer is not to blame for this I have positioned my front door in an often high-angle position (door placement + angle), another of my home's features It was not ensured that the door was completely secured due to wind locations. My previous limiters were not able to prevent the damage, so I installed a limiter that would limit it Chain of command. I have been working on this project for a year and a half now, and everything is still working well. The rust issue has not been an issue for me either, even though I live in a humid climate. Overall, this is a great, inexpensive replacement.

My problem has been solved
4/5

A preliminary review will be conducted on May 30, 2021.

We, like many other homes, have a door connecting our garage to our house. According to local laws, the door must automatically close. It was decided to have a spring-operated door hinge installed when our house was built. It is hard to explain in words how this happens, but if someone fully opens the door and lets it go free, the door will slam very hard and make a loud noise It did the job perfectly when I added the closer to the door, and the screw was adjusted accordingly. After the door is about one foot or less from closing, it swings rapidly for about two seconds before slowing down. When it closes, the door latches and it closes much more slowly. The spring loaded hinge on the door needs to be removed, and I wonder if it can be removed. Hopefully I'll be able to do so. In both cases, it takes more effort to swing the door open since the hinge and closer are both harder to operate. One thing that I am not happy about is the opener only allows the door to be opened Prior to this, all it took was for it to open about 95 degrees and latch open easily. I don't think it matters that much. The closer I recommend is this one.
