Hydraulic door closer replaces one that blew out. Fluid leaking from the hydraulic system. I was fairly pleased with the mounting of the new unit, and it seems to be reasonably good took a while to fine tune the adjustments, but everything came out okay in the end. It's a heavy duty door closer, so it has to be able to withstand the test of time. Just in time for the holidays. I have not had any problems with the system after a few months and quite a few thousand cycles.
Installing one of these for the very first time requires a lot of research. Exactly what I needed for a repair. LCN 4041 can be replaced with this. As a replacement mechanism, it could not have been easier to install because the holes match up perfectly. It's of good quality, it does the job as expected. It would get an extra star if the installation instructions were more detailed. If you wish to install it on the push or pull side of the door, there are several options you can choose from. The templates for installation are useful, but it could do with some more diagrams detailing each installation option as well as indicating whether it is best to use the right or left hand door. Although it takes time, it is possible to get it figured out.
After I got them out and put them up on the door, I was able to figure them out.
