Although it is entirely made of plastic, it looks quite nice and has some nice details on the face. You'd never know it wasn't metal unless you touched it. This was reset for daylight savings about three weeks ago, and it still displays the correct time and does not tick. The diameter, for example, is exactly what it claims to be. A rubber ring is attached to the back of the item. I didn't use it because it was too small for my project, but it adds about 1/4" to the diameter. When I put it together, it appears that the plastic could be easily broken by accident. I'd buy it again in the end.
It's a shame, because the clockface is quite lovely (hence my two-star rating). This was purchased in September of 2020. Now it's December 2020, and the second hand is just bouncing in one place for the second time, while the other hands remain motionless. I replaced the battery and shook it a little the first time, and the second hand turned on, but I'm giving up this time. What is it that makes making a working clock so difficult? My cheap wristwatch has lasted for years without needing to replace the battery, despite the fact that it is subjected to more abuse!.
I'm looking for a non-toxic material for a craft project. It's a working clock that moves the hour hand when I spin the minute hand; it's perfect for that, but I'm sure all analog clocks are. Because I won't be using it, I can't vouch for its accuracy or anything else. Crafters, take note: It comes with a number of removable and repositionable pieces. If you don't like the gold rim, for example, or if, like me, you don't want the plastic dome that covers the clock face, this is a good option.
The face is exactly as it appears in the picture. It's quite lovely, and it matches my antique clock perfectly. I had to trim the rubber gasket a little because my clock was so shallow, but it now fits perfectly and runs perfectly. I'm very happy with the purchase and delivery time!.
The old one, which had been in use for more than 30 years, had finally given up the ghost. This replacement is lovely, perfectly fits, and is accurate after a week. Just hoping it lasts as long as its predecessor did.

For well over two decades, I've been purchasing clock inserts for my woodworking projects. This is the best I've found for the money; it comes in a sealed box with a lens cleaner cloth and has a rubber gasket for a snug fit or to adjust the fit. Fantastic product at an even better price!.
This clock face is attractive, but it has stopped working in less than a month (despite my attempts to replace the battery). Unfortunately, the return window had closed.
