It seems as if everything is in order. In the pictures, you can see the new unit was a little longer than the old one, so I used washers as shims and it worked So I guess that means I have to fix four other clocks that are similar that have stopped working - Ten out of ten!.

I was very pleased with how well the product worked and how easily it could be assembled. Although disappointed with the thinness of the hands, I nevertheless enjoyed the product. Their easy bending and breaking makes them a potential safety hazard.
