Questions & Answers

Are these able to be installed on glass?

There is no doubt that I am (It does hold my weight) and I wanted to make sure it would withstand my weight as well when I stood on it. don't see how it could attach well enough to a glass wall to make you feel secure. However, even if you were just interested in using it to hold toilet paper, the unit is too heavy to be attached to a glass wall for that reason. I just wanted to add my two

Could this be done on a wall to the left Would it be better if it was vertical rather than horizontal?

This was installed adjacent to the toilet on the left wall The problem is not at all an issue. As shown in the image, we installed it horizontally. This is Yvon

My plan is to install it on a vanity cabinet made from oak. For toilet paper dispensers, it should work, but does it work when it comes to grab bars?

There are no weight limits listed on this unit however, it appears to meet ADA requirements for 250 pounds. The item has been in my possession for a year now, and I agree with the rating given. In one of the mounting points, I inserted a 1/4 inch lag bolt into a wall stud to mount the bar. Another mounting system was provided in the package and is supposed to mount to drywall. My weight is 230 lbs and I am six feet tall. The unit is able to support my weight with no problem. There are three different mounting methods available for the mounting points. It is either to use a 1/4 inch screw at each mounting point or three smaller wood screws around the center of the 1/4 inch hole. Stainless steel is the material used for this piece, and it is sturdy and of good quality. Now that it is darker, I notice that it is available in that To get the brushed nickel look, I used a brush. It is a great unit that I would recommend. Grab bars are one inch tubes and if you are okay with this small of a grip, then this is a great choice for you.

You do not provide a left side mount, why? What's the point of having mounting brackets for only one side of the wall?

As long as you have a wall to mount it to, this grab bar/toilet paper holder can be mounted on either side of the toilet. In the case of the left or right mount, the only difference is the way the toilet paper slides. In the right hand corner of the toilet when looking at the toilet and in the left hand corner when sitting on the toilet, I have a grab bar and toilet paper holder. It was a great help for my aging mother to have a grab bar and paper holder.

But it still looks like something you'd see in the ADA

My husband is disabled, so I had these installed to help him. Despite being very sturdy, they can hold quite a bit of weight according to their description. Even so, they are quite large, so it looks a little institutional. However, they are not as bad as simply placing a A Delta grip has a less ADA look but also a smaller bar to grab over, so if you need a firm grip this is the brand to choose. As other have said, I would also install it so it slants ever so slightly upwards to better keep the toilet paper on the roll of toilet paper. It has fallen from my toilet. I have bumped into it and it slipped off once or twice. Since it only happened a couple of times, it isn't that big of a deal, but if you install it on a very slight slant you can avoid it. Ours required that we remove a recessed toilet paper holder in one bathroom, which I had to remove when it was installed. What to do with the hole in the wall was another problem. It was suggested by a builder friend that we install an oak panel on the wall and then screw and drill directly into it. Screwing in the oak backing is done through studs and screwing in the toilet paper holder directly into the oak base. The way it is, it is very sturdy. In order to ensure this is a sturdy frame, we made the oak backing long enough to fit over two studs. Thus, instead of drilling another large hole in the drywall, the toilet paper holder could be attached to existing nails. There was backing in an entire wall in another bathroom, so we didn't have to worry about where to place screws there we just screwed the board into the wall next to the toilet. We didn't have to make any holes in the wall because they all went directly into solid wood. It is most convenient if you have a choice and are remodeling, have the backing placed in the wall between the studs so that straight screws can be driven into solid wood without having to make the large anchor holes. Another disadvantage of this type of anchor was that it did not come with screws for screwing into studs or hard wood only anchors were included. To make sure this was securely fastened, I had to purchase long screws.

The problem has been solved! The grab bar is a purchase from our store - Moen's 30-inch toilet paper holder in combination with a 10-inch toilet paper holder This flip-up is 12 inches wide The Up Grab Bar (R8960FD) was purchased for my 96 year old mother who had tried everything else in order to be able to use the toilet safely and without fear of falling down

There was no other way to get things done. There would eventually be some sort of flaw with any device that required fixing to the toilet, such as a bedside toilet, raised toilet, or arm rests attached to the toilet. Any item that had to be secured to the toilet would rock or wobble. This grab bar resembles a toilet paper holder and it was added to a wall to the side of the toilet with a Flip-up door to help get in and out I managed to fix the problem by pulling up the grab bar and reaching the wall behind the toilet on the other side. It was not worried about whether the connections would become loose as both supports were firmly attached to the wall. Seeing my carpenter stand on the flip-flops, I was surprised Take a grab at the grab bar for a test of its Putting it up will make the bathroom look just like any other bathroom.

Depending on what you are installing it on, the installation process will be easy or difficult

The use of a handy The term is frequently used The duration of the contract is two years. This piece is very old and shows no signs It is sturdy. Our bathroom was in need of two grab bars, so we purchased them There is this bronze one, and there is also a brushed nickel bar Bathrooms should each have one. Installing one of them was my own idea. The outside porch was converted Among the things he needs is mobility and balance). Using a screw, I attached it to the The wall is stable, sturdy, and as strong as the one on the other side Weights of most kinds can be balanced on it. One was to be installed in another bathroom and the other was to be installed in another bathroom & Things turned out to be a little more complex. The plastic locking device that goes through the wall is so baffling to me that I could not figure it out. The video I watched looked promising, so I watched it I do not find this Even though I now understood why, I could not put my finger on how this could Because it's so thin, I was apprehensive about it holding up. In order to make him watch the video, I had him do so. This is what he understood & that is what he said The plan seemed to work and I was confident it would work Don't let anything weaken you. Then we got started. We were going to install the bar on the side of a cupboard by the Taking the shelves out of the cupboard, I put them back into the cupboard In order to fit around the 2 2X4s that I installed vertically inside the cupboard, I had my husband 'niche' them. My husband then followed the instructions in the video and attached them to the 2 2X4s. The grab bar was installed on the side of the newly reinforced cupboard. It is sturdy and easy to grasp. Weight load of my husband (230 lbs. - 250 lbs. He may be more motivated if he's been motivated). An injury to one knee has caused his knee to be called a "trick knee. " He has another relationship that is out of control, and it isn't healthy A cure was not found through surgery. I like the way it's made No matter how heavy he is, he keeps trying to keep it up. Compared to other bars I've seen, I find the staff to be more attentive, and they seem to be more attractive It makes them even more useful to be able to put toilet paper on them. In terms of ease of installation, I would say that it depends on what you plan to install Both of ours are installed at an angle to make them easier to use. The reason for this lies in the location of the stool compared to where the seats ended up.

This is an extremely strong product— hole saws are needed to install it
4/5

You've got a really powerful argument here. I have a (tiny) bathroom that's arranged in such a way that it's hard to find a way to use it In the case of my major leg surgery, I have to pull on it horizontally (e. The slider feels rock solid, though I'm not sure whether it was designed to take that much torque in that direction. In addition, the toggle screws in the drywall are very large and extremely powerful, at least by my standards. I think the design is ingenious. that a) it required a 1 1/4" hole saw (not sure of the size I needed) The one I wanted was not in the garage, so I went to Ace Hardware & Repair Once the mounting brackets are drilled with the hole saw, there is little play to allow them to be adjusted to width or level once they are in placed. The holes have to be cut perfectly, so the cutting has to be precise. In mine, the level is a tiny bit off, but it isn't noticeable at all. There's just one thing I need to watch out for in the bathroom-a torpedo level may be left there, and a guest may check my work I was surprised by its size based on the pictures) As I had just a few inches of wall space left in my bathroom, I could barely install it. I appreciate the size of the roll of toilet paper when I have to pick it up, even if it looks a bit lost on it.
