Questions & Answers

Can this fit 3 of the dimmer switches from Lutron? Three of them are too wide for the space I have on my wall plate, and I don't know how to accommodate ?

You can install this on any bank of 3 gang switches in the decora style. There is a possibility you did not remove the "fins" on the side of your dimmers, as this would make it difficult for them to fit properly inside A group of Google employees is ganging up and derating Lutron The concept has been written up in numerous articles and there are You Tube videos explaining how it

What is included with this item? Is there a back box that mounts to the wall where the 3 sockets are mounted?

This is just a wall plate cover that covers the controls on the wall.

Are the light switches included in the package? How do you turn the light on with that button?

Thanks for visiting. There is nothing more to this plate than that. In order to use it, you will need 3 individual Lutron switches (or plugs). A plain switch can be obtained or a dimmer switch. In addition to the CLaro series of outlets and plugs, I have converted most of my outlets to the Lutron Claro series. I think the Claro series looks really good.

You can see where the two pieces are joined (you see where the two pieces come together)
3/5

From the front, it looks good, but from the side (you'll notice the place where the two pieces meet) it looks ugly. You can't see a joint, so it's hard to take a part. Got a different brand so you can't see it. As much as I would have liked to see the custom image, I couldn't. It's a good thing I ordered only one 3-piece set There are two gangs Gang 1 and 2 There are gangs.

A fake product has been released
3/5

As you can see, this appears to be a fake product. The real Lutron Claro wallplate does not It's easy to assume that when you buy from Amazon it'll be genuine, but it's not.

The "Stainless Steel" version brings a bit more class and classy to the table**
Br>LOOK AT THIS I'm so sorry! I like the look of the pieces, they're classy and modern, minimalist, even though they're completely plastic, they look like real brushed aluminum items in the same space. I'm sorry - method in which you can adjust the receptacles below so they fit crooked walls/workboxes, and adjust them to fit crooked walls. Note this statement is subject to I DON'T LIKE I'm so sorry! A price increase is a result of I'm so sorry! There are many under-developed countries Despite the frame's strong construction, it's not as strong as the top plate. The top plate is clicked in, and you can see problems such as the receptacle being too forward or too back or the seam between underside and the top going in unevenly. The underframe and faceplate (the underframe can be flattened and a ragged seam will be formed with each faceplate, or the underframe and faceplate can be gapped together It's more convenient to cover the entire side edge with a faceplate. I can see now why other reviews prefer this design). It is these little OCD issues that have caused a larger problem, since I was very nervous when yanking the faceplate off to tweak it (crack it or break a tab), to the point where I just left things misaligned rather than risk, damaging it. I'm so sorry! Unlike some products, this one is made entirely of plastic (and not metal bonded onto plastic like some others), and it is warned not to clean it with anything other than I have found it to be very easy to scratch the plastic surface or even wear it off with just normal use. . . I'm concerned about the longevity of cleaning smudges, scratching them with plugs, etc. OVERALL It's a great look and a perfect match. The average person besides me as the installer will not be able to see the misalignments. The only thing I would like more from them is durability for 100% right installation and lasting use. Cheaper is also an option, but beware, since there are many fakes out there You can see the prices for say your single-receptacle units and then compare that with your multi-receptacle units Two-gang light switches (in my case, $25 each). Before you buy into the system, make sure you have all the plate types you need! At the end of it, I wanted 100% right installations with these fancy plates, but I got perhaps 75% right. No plans to return, but we will probably try a competitor with a seamless side edge in the near future.

It's easy to level and helps line up the switches
4/5

An example would be in a house where the bats were sighted This plate helped me line up multiple switches and level them to locate them level and at a similar depth so that they don't look out of place. Crazy wiring, so I had to replace the switches, but this plate made everything much, much simpler. Separating the two pieces is a simple process A massive improvement over the traditional plates is that these plates not only have slots for the screws that mount into the electrical box, but they also include holes for the screws that attach to the switches. While I started installing the mounting screws, I did not complete them until the switches were attached to the plate. In addition to this, it was much easier to mount level than to be stuck with a slightly uneven installation because of sloppy builders (this house is 25 years old, they just put the subdivision together haphazardly). Once I tightened things down, I snapped the front face onto the base. I had just enough clearance to make sure it was level before tightening things down. I liked it so much better than the traditional type of face-lift After you install your switches, there is a plate which goes over them This is where. As you can see, I used the 3-part format There are two gang plates in this area & They were so fragile that I was afraid of breaking them when I took them apart (the first one I had to take apart a couple times because a bad switch had to be swapped out) They seemed to hold up fine to me, but I suppose I was being a bit cautious since the tabs appear fragile. In addition, I used a single gang plate similar to these on a switch from a different brand because one of their traditional ones wasn't even compatible with their own. The other Claro had been taking far too much time for my liking, so I grabbed the one that was intended for another area and will replace it soon. In a matter of seconds, I leveled, tightened, snapped on the forehead, and then removed it. All right, we were on our way. You can see there are no screws exposed to catch dirt or dust, and they look sleek and clean. There is no cracking on the outside plate as long as nobody breaks the dust. Nevertheless, once things have been settled, there's no going back Since they're so old, I don't see the need to change them, and I think they'll be perfectly fine for years to come as long as you're cautious if anything needs It would be nice to have the same plates on toggle switches too, as there are a few switches that I don't really want to change to rockers but I would love to have the same plates on all of them.

The material conforms well to the irregularities of the wall
5/5

The Claro screw holds up really well for me It is less expensive to have fewer It is important, as with all paddle switches, to ensure that the switch body is parallel to the wall and that the wire pressure is not causing the switch body to lean You need to get the switches parallel to the wall and loosely screw them in before you attach the underside If the underplate fits correctly, the underplate can be adjusted Using screws to attach the switch plate to the wall, tighten or loosen the screws holding the switch into position on The underwriters were once unable to A coverplate snaps onto the wall after the plate is properly positioned. It's really cool that these covers have catches between them, so when the wallboard is contoured, they will stay open and closed even when there is some concave curves. The wall plate still conforms to the switch bodies, and the edges of all the switch bodies are exposed. When you want to get to the gang box again, all you have to do is yank the cover plate off from any direction and you won't have to worry about breaking anything. I commend Lutron designers and their plastic supplier for creating such beautiful products. The only issue with these might be that there is a noticeable notch between the cover and one of the slides The underside of the plate and the plate itself This design has a simple and elegant cover plate. Unlike some other designs, the edge of the cover plate does not feather into the wall.
