Questions & Answers

Do you get the 66 blade with it?

You will also receive a BK blade and a 110 blade with it. Whether the BK blade is the same as a 66 blade is unknown to me. However, you may be able to tell what you need by looking at the blades. If that does not help, you can enlarge the picture of the blades.

How do I connect this to a keystone RJ11 connector?

Though I am not hands-on with RJ45, I am confident it will work, though that's just based on theory. As far as I know, the punchdown terminals are the same.

No matter what I do, it just pulls right out of the slots with little effort even after using this on an Ethernet punch down terminal. How do I stop this?

A punch down terminal is a standard terminal for punching down information. What does that mean? What is the blade you are "10" and "11" are the two that are included with the tool. The 110 type punch has the following features You can find connecting blocks and keystone jacks by scrolling down. As with the 110, the yellow tool works in the same way.

Are the telephone wires at the distribution point compatible with this system?

These 110 punchdown blocks are designed to work well with it. To ensure the cutting edge is on the appropriate side of the block, just ensure the edge is on the right side. I also like how well the stripper does his job Since I have been tying about a hundred wires together, I have not nicked a wire. As for an older 66 pushdown block, I have no idea if it would work. Unless you wrap the cable around screws by yourself, the software cannot help

A very good product at an affordable price
4/5

I thought I had 66 blades but I should have included 66. As I live in the US, I've only used the 110 punch down blade and it has worked well for me. I have used it on a few items, and so far everything has punched down nicely. However, spring tension seems a bit high. This is a fair price for the quality. This is a tool I would purchase In case you don't know, the BK blade is mainly for use in the UK, where the traditional telephone punch-down connectors differ from those in the US. you're interested, you can find a video on youtube that compares 110 with BK punch down tools and you'll learn more than you'd like to know about the differences between UK connectors and the modern AT&T connector. There are two types of connectors 110 style (T style). If this tool contained a blade similar to that found on the 66, it could have been more useful here in the US. a style of AT&T block that was used earlier There is a blockage in the telephone connection. The 110 style connection block should not be used for data, but my home already has one for phone voice-grade connections, and therefore there is no need to upgrade to the new 110 style. My data connections were the sole reason for the addition of a 110 style block. If they had included a 66-style blade, then that would have been a useful addition According to my understanding, a 66 blade would have been a better addition here in the US than is the included BK blade.

Reduce the volume to a low setting
5/5

As my first time using a punch down tool for my patch panel, I was a little hesitant. YouTube videos showed me how to use the app, and I was successful and delighted This tool is great because it comes with a tool to strip cables as well. I really liked how it worked. I don't know who wrote the review to apply the "high" setting, but I sure don't know what you were Despite my best efforts, I still could not get the Ethernet cable to connect to the high-speed network. With the tool set at a low position, I was punching down Ethernet cables into my patch panel in no time.

This tool worked great for my project, and I would order.

This is way too much to use occasionally
3/5

Keystones made of plastic that have been damaged. A similar tool I used while working as a scab LNR at the phone company years ago may still be handy. I think this is a sturdy product, and it's a good price too. For my home project, I would recommend it more for commercial use or bigger jobs involving traditional patch panels for my smaller project, just being a homeowner, this tool is way too complicated. Generally I like that it cuts off the excess wire tail, but even on the low impact setting the spring tension seems really high. With my rj45 keystone jacks, I got much better performance by using a much cheaper version of the cable The excess is trimmed first with an impact tool, but then I have to trim the extra a second time.

I was satisfied with the result
5/5

When I worked as a low voltage tech and spent hours on end patching panels with my old punch tool, I still loved it (since I did not desire to stab myself in the head with it after punching down 700 cat6 cables with stabilizers straight after). Recently, a friend of mine needed someone to punch down a few wall jacks, so I ordered this, and it feels good in your hand, and it is easy to use. That particular career will never return to my mind, but I do have some fond memories of it. The only old lowvo guy I can recommend this to is you.

A CUT indicator appears on the handle when the blade is in line
3/5

Cheap knockoffs may have a hard time meeting this high standard They have never used such a tool before, but the people who created it have never done so. An embossed CUT is embossed on the tool handle of the punch down tool in the world of cable cutting, so that it lines up with the The tool has the blade horizontal to the CUT indicator, which is not correct. The purpose is to make it easier for the tech to not get the punch tool flipped while terminating all of the cables at once, which can happen when you are working with a large lead count. I don't see any problems with the software.

It's an excellent tool for DIY projects
5/5

I am adding a 14 drop CAT 6 network to my home and need the tools to do so. Despite the fact that I bought a network tools set, I was concerned about what it would cost me punch down. I bought this to replace my previous one, and I was very glad I did as it helped the patch panel installation go It is not my day job to deal with network wiring (which I will not quit), so having the right tools was essential.

There is no doubt that it Small home projects are made easy with this product

Punching copper keystones and patch panels down is a great way to use this tool. However, you'll need to give it some extra oomph to accomplish the task effectively. The quality of the build is so poor that I would not recommend it for commercial use. As long as you don't need to punch cables every now and then, you're good to go.

I used it to upgrade my home
5/5

The 110 blade was perfect for my home installation, it arrived fast, and it was easy to It worked great for me when I installed an RJ45 wall jack as a homeowner. By using the yellow blade tool we were able to cut away the wrapping without incident, and the 110 punch down made the job of attaching the wires to the Legrand outlet jack easy. In the B wiring standard, the punch went down on each wire as the blade cut it. Although I've never wired an RJ45 jack before, after watching a few videos and reviewing my home guide, I was able to complete the task without any issues.
