Yes, there is a hook on the end of the fish tape reel, and you should be able to hook in a sink, or toilet bowl round brush cleaner, as they all come with a small hole on top for hook ins, and this should be able to clean the pipe.br>Thanksbr>sam
I'm not sure if that will work, but I was able to pull two to three cat6a cables in ribbed conduit at a time with it.
No, Jim, I'm not at home right now, but I believe it's about 1/4 or 3/8 inch. BOb
Maybe, as long as there are no catch points as wire is pulled, which there aren't in enclosed pipe, if you run a sleeve or pipe through which wire will be pulled, it should work in theory like pipe, as designed-

That didn't bother me as long as it did what it was supposed to do. Unfortunately, this product is ineffective; after rotating the reel several times to create enough slack, the tape does not release without having to be pulled out. Even worse, rewinding the tape into the casing is a nightmare. It took approximately five minutes. All of the tape had to be pushed back into the reel by hand, which took several minutes. br>br>The vendor did not include any information with the product and simply wrapped it in clear plastic. They were unresponsive to my concerns when I contacted them. As a result, I contacted Amazon to arrange for the return of the item.
I literally just tossed this in the trash. I did it with malice after throwing it in the ground several times out of frustration. br>br>This is something I despise. I've caught a lot of cable, and this is by far the worst fish I've ever used. I took it on a large wiring job where rings and strings were promised but not always delivered, necessitating a lot of fishing. EVERY SINGLE TIME I TRYED TO USE THIS THING TO FISH, IT FAILED TO LAND WHERE I SENT IT. It simply will not go straight or in any of the directions you direct it. Instead, I fished exclusively with my fiberglass rods, which aren't always the best tool for the job. br>br>I threw it out and ordered a small Klein metal tape in its place. I've fished with it about six times so far, and guess what? EVERY SINGLE TIME, IT HAS WORKED. Including some tricky pulls that sold like hotcakes thanks to THAT fish tape's amazing performance. Because it's nice and wide, it goes exactly where I want it to and has distance markings, which I appreciate. br>br>Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on this unknown model. Klein fish tape is a must-have item. They aren't that much more expensive. I decided on a 25' model to begin with because that's what I do the most and it was only $8 more.
This item is a complete disaster. The line would not stay straight (despite the fact that this is its primary function), and grease was all over it. I understand that grease is required for the case to recoil, but the amount used was absurd and resulted in a massive mess. The wire's attachment was also a disaster- The wire came loose several times, and it eventually became so mangled that I had to buy a new one. This product was completely useless, and I strongly advise anyone who is thinking about buying it to think twice.
This fishtape was purchased because it was inexpensive, and it has proven to be exactly that. It was three times that I was able to use it; On the third use, the tape became tangled inside the housing while retracting after extending it to approx 50% of its length to pull some stp cable up through a conduit,% I tried carefully extending and retracting the tape, but it only made the tangle worse, and the tape began to poke out between the two halves of the orange shell. Approximately a quarter of an hour later, After an hour of trying various untangling methods, it became clear that there was no hope. br>br>After that, I unscrewed and opened the shell again, spending another 30 minutes re-assembling it. Using fishtape as a wrap After that, I attempted to extend and retract it for about 20 feet, but it tangled on the first attempt. br>br>It ended up in the trash. I just squandered $15. This is not a good idea.
This is a complete waste of time. The tape reel arrived drenched in grease, staining my walls and causing a shambles in my office and on me. I thought it was strange because with all that grease, you'd think it'd reel in nice and smooth. That wasn't the case. It's also quite large and heavy. br>br> I didn't want to carry a 50-pound weight up a flight of stairs, I just wanted to reel some Hdmi cables to my mounted TV. It was a little excessive for simple jobs like mine. After the first use, I discarded it. br>br>Needless to say, it failed miserably and resulted in a shambles. Is it possible that I was given a lemon?.
It's just difficult to get back into the swing of things. For my home theater, I purchased this tape in order to run an HDMI and RCA cable through PVC pipe. The cable is extremely durable. I was able to run the fish tape up the wall through a 2" pipe for 6 feet and past a 90 degree angle to my projector with ease. To run each cable separately, I had to repeat the process. I was able to pull both cables through my pipe after only a few minutes of working with it. br>br>I'm not sure when I'll use it again, but winding it up after use was impossible. The cable would either jam up and stop winding, or the case would give out and the cable would burst through the middle part, just as an example.
What a fantastic tool that has saved me a ton of time and is ideal for quick runs!! It has never caused me any problems and has proven to be durable. Keep it clean, and you'll be ready to move on to the next task. It arrived at my door as promised, and the seller sent a message to ensure that I received it. This is an excellent resource. a fantastic vendor You guys did an excellent job.
If the item shipped and labeled Kayco looked anything like the picture, it might get a higher rating. This is not the case. br>br>There is no release trigger or other obvious way to feed the tape aside from teeth. And the ending is completely different, more akin to the Klein tape's show. But, in this category of tools, can one rely on Amazon's illustrations? Returning and will be replaced, but from an old-school source. a vintage shelf.
