When the box arrived, it was exactly as described. It includes a weatherstrip for creating a waterproof seal on top of the lid, however it isn't To manually squish the rubber cord into place, it took a moment. The length provided was perfect for connecting the two ends. By using my surface mount drill press, I easily and precisely drilled the required holes into the lid and body to attach the switches, buttons, and cord access. It wasn't until I had drilled the first two holes that I felt confident that there wouldn't be a crack or shattering when drilling the rest. (However, I would still recommend taking it slow and easy when drilling through plastic. As far as possible, you'll want to chew through them with the bit instead of just melting them through The lid has a set of switches. My "prototype" turned out really well, and I am excited to use the boxes for other projects in the future. A cheap, low-cost box can be an ideal way to practice before you commit to anything and not to worry about breaking the bank if you make any mistakes or disagree with the final result. A kind of "prototyping" box, Make the casing, like what you did, even better, such as using an aluminum box for the final product. This is a 4/5 star review.
Two temperature controllers for my brewing system were made by me -- PID control for one PWM and a pulse width module for the other. Due to the large size of these boxes (I ordered the largest), I was able to use all wiring without worrying about pinching or crushing Even a 10G cable will be able to be held firmly in place. I would definitely buy more and recommend this to anyone who is willing to undertake the challenge of making one of those controllers.
Exactly what is advertised is included in the box. I'm very happy with how quickly this arrived and how well it was packaged. Generally, I would say it is of a moderately durable (but not too durable) quality. If there was a gasket string included, I imagine that the box would not leak and would be splash-proof Designed to be drip-proof. My hacksaw blade was used to cut out some potions out of the box after drilling 1/4" holes in it. My experience with plastic was that it was simple to drill and to work with Cutting the plastic without cracking it was a clean and thorough process.
Earlier this year, I built a battery extender and that was why I ordered this project box. to try and find the same items (box and D-box Batteries holders for cell phones). However, the items were either no longer available or their price had gone up. So, I went looking for a duplicate and found one with the same outside measurements (at least that is what it said). I could have used the original box and holders, but the new D-shaped ones were not the right fit There are no cell battery holders that fit the INSIDE dimensions of the D, E, F, G, H Because the cell batteries fit perfectly, it must be the screws at the corner posts that are wider and thicker. The box looks good, it's well constructed, it's got good gaskets. A few mm extra width is all that is needed.
This is a pretty decent In any case, this is not the dimension Upon searching for a box large enough to fit everything, I came up empty. In this case, it would have been perfect if it was actually 8"x 71/2". I now have to add another box, and it took me an extra hour and a half because the 4-inch by 71/2" box is not quite as wide as 8". I had trouble fitting a second bank of switches because the width of 1/2" was too narrow. The box I received was cut way too short, and I'm not sure if it was just a problem with the box being the wrong size. In addition, I would have given it a 5 if the dimensions had been correct. As a result of great customer service, I bumped up my review by two stars. I received a "goodwill refund" without my request. As a result of the quality of the box and the level of customer service, I have lowered my rating.
They are a bit stiffer than other project boxes, which possibly (though not positively) results in an increasingly fragile box With $5, it is still quite expensive. The year 1999 They are worth every penny, in my opinion. I want to make this My understanding of " more brittle " is not that they are less durable than some others, but just that they are less sturdy The cost of other products is three times more. Should the price remain the same, I will buy more if the two I bought are still available.
There is one thing that I would like to add Many people complain the seal is too short, but it does not have to be that short it can easily be stretched to the right length. Keep calm and wait for the right moment.
The shunt is part of a battery monitoring system on our travel trailer, so I bought it to house it. As the shunt couldn't fit into our existing batteries, I needed a place to mount it that was secure and dry. As a result, the box did what it was supposed to do. The box only needed some 1" holes on the sides for battery cables (and rubber grommets to protect the cables), and I was a little worried that it would not be strong enough, but it held up fine. It also appears to be fairly water-resistant, according to the box.
This was used to enclose a Raspberry Pi server I use to interact with my home. I was able to drill holes in it without it cracking because of its rugged nature. The next time I order, I will definitely do so. * It also comes with mountings inside if you want to secure something inside, for example. Circuit boards or standoffs are commonly used. There are some things that need to be crossed over since they are right next to the edge It can be mounted using a beam.
