Installed in a few minutes

I just could not keep up with my load center without added a main breaker. I had no trouble installing the application. Unbolt the large Allen head screws holding the utility line hot leads and cut the power, then unbolt the screw that holds this breaker to the panel and install it. Besides the safety covers for the wire clamps, the breaker also included some other additional features not shown in the product photographs.

Do you think a breaker is a good idea? Considering my service is 100 amp, I bought this to act as my main shutoff inside the house so that I don't have to go outside. The price was reasonable and the quality of Siemens is good.

As a result, I am no longer forced to turn off the generator before shutting off the load

As a result, I put in a whole house generator with a transfer switch for access to my main service entrance over-the-air The house was already protected from current and was disconnected. The problem was that I had to go outside and close the breaker to shut off the house. I was able to open the main disconnect in the transfer switch and it started and transferred the household load to it. I installed the Siemens 200 A breaker in my breaker panel so I could shut the house down without having to turn the generator off.
