My orders arrived promptly and I am pleased with them. The red oak I ordered came from a different vendor with a lower price A lot better- Although there were no obvious defects in the lumber I received, it had been planed and joined, leaving the stock that had been received nice and square. I used the walnut to make a simple picture frame, and after some sanding and finishing, I think it turned out pretty well. The quality of my work is extremely important to me in every project I undertake. It should be noted that the stock shown in the review has had a few coats of poly applied, so the color in the picture is actually a few shades lighter than it appears in stock.
first opened the package, I was pleased with the appearance of the wood, but it turned out that the thickness of the boards wasn't equal when I took it out to my workshop. On one end of one board, it was 3/4 inch and on the other end, it was 1/2 inch, so it couldn't be used to make What quality control do you use to make sure appearance is 5 stars?.
A lot of the wood I received was In fact, 2 of my order were amazing, but 2 of them were discolored as you can see in the photo. In the picture, you can see the two sides of one piece that were discolored similarly. Initially I hesitated to leave this review because I had previously ordered wood from this company and had a great experience, but made a few attempts to get in touch and did not receive any It is for this reason that I wanted to leave this review and warn people that they might receive discolored/unusable product and the company does not seem to care if they receive bad.
I received mine a few days later than expected. These were not cut with care, as you can see. My project is not going to be as thick as I had hoped due to the need to plane them.
As a third time customer at Barrington Hardwoods, I placed this order. The table saw is not something I have, so I use this instead. When I ordered from another seller accidentally, I noticed that Barrington was much.
My experience with these boards is consistent within each set, the size is the same and the quality is excellent. It may be that a few things aren't quite right I've encountered quite a few knots, but nothing I couldn't deal with to my own satisfaction. The site is worth visiting again and again.
It was easy to use the lumber for a project, as all I had to do was cut to size and glue it, then stain It has been my pleasure to work with this supplier in the past.
Received the order for two pieces of walnut - definitely two different pieces of wood, not even close in color to each other, practically unuseable It's a real disappointment!.
