It is harder than solving a Rubic's cube to put together something you cannot see. After getting them together, it took us 2 hours of "fun." Trying different configurations is the best option. Honestly, I can't think of anything else to suggest!

They were used as a cover for the changing room floor in the hot tub room. An area of 10' x 10' on a raised wooden floor is available.
