Look for the Nylon version instead of this one. Your dash is exposed to a lot of sunlight and heat, so it costs a little more. I was able to flock an entire F350 dash with a single 1 pound bag. If you can keep other dust from mixing in, you can spread a drop cloth underneath and reuse the leftovers. Use a LOT of glue/adhesive if you're going to use it- There won't be enough fibers to stick if it's too thin or not wet enough. If you have a glossy surface, any areas of poor coverage will shine through the flock in those areas, so degrease the dash first, then scuff with 80 grit, and for best results, spray some flat black primer on the dash first. Best wishes; it appears to be a fantastic project. Start with a test run on a non-critical part, such as the back side of a panel.
Without a doubt! This stuff is fantastic for putting inside boxes. I'm sure it'd look great in a silverware drawer as well.
The flocking has a velvety appearance to it, which is fine; however, I believe you could add some glitter to it to give it a sheen?
That's exactly what I intended to do with it. Mallard ducks are a type of duck that can be found in the field. It turned out to be both beautiful and long-lasting. What you put under the flocking for a sticker is extremely important if you're using this in water decoys.

It took a few tries on practice pieces, but I finally got it. br>br>Use a lot of adhesive. Don't worry about brush strokes (don't let the painter in you take over) and just cover as many surfaces as possible. br>br>Fill the tube (which can be purchased separately) halfway or more. and dump a ton of it on the bottom, then slam it on the sides with a hammer. Whatever does not stick will fall to the bottom or into the corners. BEFORE SHAKING OUT THE EXCESS, LET IT DRY FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS. I waited 15 hours, blew it out, and brushed it again, and the flocking came out (it's hot here, so it should have been dry by then). I tried another piece and let it sit for 48 hours before cleaning it, and it came out looking much better.
It does exactly what it says it will. This and the adhesive paint were a lot easier to work with than I anticipated. Make sure to use a lot of flocking and a lot of paint. Then, for the recommended amount of time (I recommend a couple of days), DO NOT touch the surface. Then tip your project to dump the excess flocking back into the bag, ready to use on your next project.
Reflocking our goose decoys was a breeze with this product. Due to the number of heads and back tail feathers that needed to be reflocked, we purchased two pounds of this color. br>Even after three dozen have been completed. decoys. There is still time to complete 1 - There are two more dozen. br>The color really pops and makes our decoys look brand new! Make sure to find the paint that closely matches the color of the flock with this item, especially after repainting the cheeks with a flat white.
The first was merely a practice run. That being said, it is extremely simple to use and appears to be professional. I recommend masking with tape and then removing the tape once you're done. If you wait too long, the glue will eventually seep under the tape. But don't worry; simply sand off the glue if this happens. However, I'd hold off for a few days. It appears to look better if you leave it to dry for at least 36 hours, and I wouldn't touch the flock for at least a few days. Some people suggest brushing the flock off, but I brushed the first one after 24 hours and there are still brush marks visible. Simply flip it over and spray it from a safe distance with canned air. In general, this is a fantastic product.

Make sure you have some sort of enclosure because the dust will float around. The end result is well received by all.
I found that applying the underlayment with a brush in a thin, even coat and immediately spraying on the suede fibers produced the best results, as long as all areas were dull and no signs of shine from the underlayment not being covered were present. Allow for 5 minutes of drying time before tapping out the remaining fibers and storing them in a bag.
This product is incredibly simple to use, and the results are incredible even after the first application. I used it to finish the interior of a band saw box I made. The flocking covered up all of the flaws and gave the impression that it had been done professionally. I bought a point that looks like it's made of felt. That's a significant amount of information. Even though I plan to make a lot of boxes, I doubt I'll be able to use it all up in my lifetime.
I used this to flock the insides of the drawers after finishing my first band-saw box. I'll do it again without a doubt. It was my first time using flocking, and I went about it in a very straightforward manner. forward; I think it turned out beautifully, and I'm excited to do it again.
