3M 111 Adhesion Promoter, also known as AP111, is an isopropyl alcohol-based primer solvent solution that aids in the adhesion of 3M VHB Acrylic Foam Tapes to a variety of surfaces, including bare metals, galvanized steel, and painted surfaces.
Due to the wide range of surfaces and paint formulations, each application should be tested.
If the surface is relatively clean and free of wax, grease, oil, and loose particles, 3M 111 can clean and promote adhesion in a single step. Based on a 2 mil wet coating thickness, the coverage provided is approximately 19 square meters per liter, but this can vary significantly depending on the application method.
The drying time varies depending on the thickness of the coating, the temperature, and the humidity.
Increases tape adhesion build rate at both normal and cooler temperatures, has a non-offensive odor, dries quickly, and offers higher bond strength are just a few of the features and benefits.

Is this going to remove the paint from a car?
The paint on a vehicle will not be removed using this method. It acts as an adhesion promoter, allowing items like car emblems to adhere to a vehicle.
Is this product necessary if I'm using 3M 23478 scotch ap115 silane glass treatment? Since I'll be applying plastic to a glass surface, what should I do?
Although I am unfamiliar with Ap11 5, the Scott 111 adhesion promoter is fantastic!
Is this the same as the 3m 06396 single application package?
Yes, the situation is identical. A pre-installed program is included in the single application packages. This is just a liquid, so you'll have to come up with your own method of application. A very small paintbrush is used.

If you want to mount anything or anywhere, this is the best product for you. br>br>It creates a better bonding surface to hold any repair adhesive or double sided tape. br>br>Clean the area or spot, apply the adhesion promoter, then stick it or apply adhesive.
