There is a good chance it was hit by lightning or a power surge. You might even want to buy an outlet surge protector for your garage door opener. It plugs into your outlet on the ceiling, then the opener plugs into it.
The likelihood is that it will. The tension springs should be adjusted first, so if those aren't the problem, it's likely that your control board is malfunctioning.
Start by removing the housing, then remove the bulb end cover and the screws just before the bulb end, and fold the housing away to expose the ct board, no need to remove the unit from its mounting.
The last time I had to replace mine was some time ago, so I'm not 100% sure if the Amazon part actually replaces the original, but you may want to check the Amazon site for the original part number to see if it has been replaced with this new one. Although I am not sure, it may be.

There were no issues after installing. It has been working fine since. The handheld remote sometimes worked if it was held against the antenna wire or unit. Sensors and switches worked fine, but wall switches did not always work. We followed LiftMaster's documentation for troubleshooting, and then, after ruling out all other options, we purchased this board. Now everything works fine. (Please note The best way to deal with these things is to use a surge suppressor Before I had one installed, but it was quite old now, so I replaced it.
It all of a sudden stopped working for me. I saw the green light on the wall remote flashing fast, and days later the motor light started flashing fast as well. My logic board was changed, and I was able to fix my problem! Even though the shipping wasn't the fastest, the part is genuine, so it probably wasn't a big deal.
Installation was easy and the product worked perfectly. Done. Plugged in and ready to go. We are saving a lot of money by dealing with Generic and not Sears, whose warranty is laughable. I was asked for $50 just to come out and take a After that, they told me that they couldn't guarantee that he had the part I needed, and that the charge for him to go and get the part would be another fee. If that's the case, I would still have to pay a fee for the part. Are you sure that's the kind of warranty you're talking about? Never trust a Sears warranty on anything that is not a Craftsman tool with no moving parts.
Putting it tightly into an anti-static bag protected it from any outside interference that might have affected its performance. After reprogramming my keypad, syncing my remotes, and adjusting the door pressure, it took me less than 30 minutes to install it and have the garage door working. I was able to order one of these for less than calling an expert and it arrived within hours of ordering.
I like it, back to the old up &.
Thunderstorms caused it to fail. Everything is working as it should after installing the new part. On Monday, I ordered the part and I paid extra for expedited shipping. It came on I was saved from having to buy a new garage door opener, which was well worth the cost. I appreciate your kind words!.
It can be found on the label in the first field, which can be found on the back and upper left side of the unit.
The product arrived as advertised and with no hiccups.
