Hello, it appears that our listing strength is incorrect; we will correct it as soon as possible. The estimated working load is 1666 pounds, with a 5000-pound assembly and a 6000-pound webbing break strength.
Bob, when I installed mine, the loop was used to attach to the winch; on my winch, there is a pin that goes through it, and then I simply wound all of the strap on the winch up to the hook; there was no extra strap left over? When the boat must be winched a long distance up the trailer at a ramp that is too shallow to accommodate the trailer, the long strap comes in handy! Tom
SGT Knots, as far as I can tell, only sells products made in the United States. They do, however, sell a few high-end imported goods. This appears to be a product made in the United States.

The strap is a few thousandths of a millimeter thinner than the one on my old shore-style camera from 1991. strap for the lander The following is a rough estimate. 055 vs. My old strap was about 19' long, and I didn't want to risk cutting a new one that was thicker and wouldn't fit on the reel completely. It appears to be fine, as the material is strong, soft, and the stitching is of good quality. My original (from 1991) was black, and this one is a nice dark gray that looks fantastic. Mine didn't come with an attachment bolt, but the original was a carriage bolt, which I haven't seen on any straps that do. Mine was rusted and, believe it or not, twisted quite a bit. It's unlikely that it's ever been completely unrolled.
The strap is made of high-quality material and fits perfectly on my winch. To run the bolt through on the winch, create a loop at the back end. The hook is strong and has plenty of room to maneuver around the boat. The stitching is well-done and appears to last a long time. I've had no problems since installing it on my 25-foot Crownline bowrider winch.
The Lainson DL1402A is a winch made by Lainson. The strap is a good fit for the winch. The strap is only about 1 inch wide. The new strap is 13/16" wide (rather than 2"), the same width as the old one. It would have been a tight fit if the straps were true 2" wide. I've used the strap to winch a sailboat out of the water with no problems, and I expect the strap to last for many years.
It's a replacement for a 29-year-old strap. I'm hoping it goes on for a long time. My boat trailer is equipped with an easy-to-install abs system that fits perfectly. It's too early to tell how long something will last.
Great product, but it didn't come with the narrow hook that was advertised. I needed a narrow hook to fit between the bow rollers, so that was the main feature I needed.
So far, everything seems to be going swimmingly. It's been about a month since I got it, and it's easily towed my 20-foot boat onto the trailer.
The material is much thinner than expected, which is a minor flaw. As a result, the winch spool does not fill up nearly as much as it should.
For a jet ski trailer, this is a good length. The durability of the product is unknown. Weather and water exposure are likely to play a role.
