These small straps initially worried me, but they managed to keep a week's worth of supplies on my Yamaha FJ1300 for 1,400 miles. They're incredibly simple to use and cinch up with confidence. My recommendation is to add a few more straps than you think you'll need in case a buckle fails. On a Kuryakyn bag weighing 30 pounds, I used four. br>br>Prosbr>Easy to installbr>Cinches up easily and tightlybr>Baggage stays put without shiftingbr>br>br>Consbr>The cost of two packs of two is more than twice the cost of two individual packs of two. Really? Purchase one at a time. Don't expect a volume discount if you buy in bulk.
Over the years, I've owned several sets of Rok Straps, which I mostly used to secure gear to motorcycles. They're simple to put together, operate, and take down. There are no metal or hard plastic hooks to attach the loop to your bike's finish. They're much easier to use than traditional bungees or ratchet straps, and they're very secure, as long as you choose the right length and strength for your application. I don't keep my bikes outside, so I can't speak to their durability with UV exposure, but the straps have lasted me for years when kept in the garage with no loss of strength or performance. Although they are more expensive than standard bungee or low-cost ratchet straps, I am pleased with this product and will continue to use it as long as I require motorcycle strapping solutions. Bungees and ratchet straps have their uses, but when it comes to simply securing gear for commuting, moto-style attachments are the way to go. These are difficult to beat, whether you're camping or touring.
You have no idea what you've been missing out on if you haven't tried these. Regular bungee cords are far inferior to ROK straps, and they are also far more dangerous. It's extremely unlikely that one of the ROK straps will fail. It's hard to say that about a regular bungee cord, but I've been using these for years and recently added another pair to my motorcycle trip gear. The 3/4" ones are the only ones I've ever had. I'm guessing the wider ones could be used for some really heavy loads, as these are more than capable of handling most anything.
Excellent product; far more capable than a bungee net and/or ratchet strap, and they pack down so small that they can easily fit into a small tank bag. I used to use a bungee net, but it required a certain amount of weight on board to keep the bungees taut. These won't let you down; thanks to the stretchy piece, you can strap them to just about anything and they'll stay put. I can't think of a better way to secure something to a motorcycle or other vehicle.
They're simple to adjust, have just the right amount of stretch, hold loads securely, won't scratch your bike, and eliminate the need for a variety of bungee cord sizes. I have the 42" and 60" sizes and love them!.
Motorcycles are a must-have because they are as good as they claim to be. This is a fantastic and straightforward concept. It's essentially a bungee cord with a quick snap. Because of how it attaches, it is better than a bungee cord. Because it's a stretch band rather than a stretch chord, the material is superior to a bungee, and the snap is what makes it work. This is a must have!.
The ease with which these straps can be attached is appealing to me. They won't fall off if they become unhooked. They are incredibly strong for such a small strap. If there was a shorter version that could be used on my cargo rack, that would be fantastic. And, of course, they're a bit pricey for what they are.
Those bungee cords should be thrown away! When we went motorcycle camping, a buddy had these to secure his gear on the bike. I ordered some for our next camping trip as soon as we returned home. They didn't let us down; they're the real deal. br>br>The soft loops make it simple to secure the bike, and unlike bungee cords, you can cinch these down tight. It's simple to undo thanks to the quick release buckles.
