Oatey 33923 28 Ga. Galvanized Hanger Strap, Bagged - 3/4-Inch x 10-Feet

I used eight flathead phillips head wood screws, which fit both sizes of holes. The threaded portion of the 8 wood screw fits snugly in the smaller hole, but I can still screw it in. The 8 flathead wood screw head in the larger hole is wide enough to perfectly secure the tape. 5/8-inch stainless steel screws are what I'm using. I'm not sure if a longer 8-inch screw would have a thicker threaded part, but even if it did, you could still use it in the larger holes because the head should be the same width (double-check). I'm no screw expert, so double-check that). In any case, if a 5/8" flathead screw works for you, it will undoubtedly work in both sized holes. br>br>Aside from that, the tape's thickness is nice and strong while remaining pliable enough for an elderly lady with arthritic hands to handle. I'm using it in an art project where I'm attaching a metal piece to which I've drilled various sized holes at random locations - to a sliver of wood Because the metal piece is so heavy, I needed something sturdy to secure it to the wood. The finished product will be a house number sign with a cool piece of metal art attached to the back of the painted-on wood piece. I also needed something galvanized that could withstand the elements outside. I only required about 9 feet of this tape and was pleased to receive a high-quality product without having to purchase a large quantity that I would not use. This purchase has made me very happy.

I've used this product for the intended purpose as well as a variety of other things, such as riveting washers, screws and bolts, hooks for hanging lights with chain, straps to hold electric wire, conduit, and so on.

Because I live in an earthquake-prone area (California), I wrapped this around a metal, free-standing object. Screw the wall stud into the standing shelving unit. Everything is in order. I don't think this will withstand a major earthquake, but we've only had minor tremors so far, and the shelf hasn't moved.

" Like many others, I was curious as to how much my order would cost. The description appears to be a little confusing, but since I ordered this item, I'd like to explain why online shopping isn't always straightforward. br>br>I ordered two because I wasn't sure how much was included (since in-store pickup was not available). That doubt would be dispelled if you went shopping in person). I received two 10 foot roll packages. I'm not sure what gauge it is, but it's 3/4 inch by 10 feet. br>br>Overall, I'm happy to find this product (which isn't as easy to find where I shop), galvanized hangar straps can be used on more than just hanging A/C and plumbing lines, but can also be used wherever a little extra support is needed and duct tape won't suffice. br>br>As a result, each quantity you order is one roll of 3/4-inch by 10-foot galvanized steel hangar straps with two alternating widths of screw/bolt holes every half-inch. I'm still unsure what the "12 per pack" description refers to.

Sturdy. It was used to hold a wooden shelf to the porch railing by wrapping it around it. I just wrapped it around the board and over the railing and it worked perfectly. I put a screw through two layers (holes) and overlapped it.

This was purchased so that I could use sheet metal screws to secure 2 inch PVC piping to my dock. I couldn't have asked for a better solution.

There are no issues with this product, and it's always a good idea to have a roll on hand in any garage or shop for a variety of uses.
