Greetings, HeyIowa! Thank you for your interest in the Keeper 02612-. The sling cannot be made shorter. The warranty would be void if the product was modified in any way.
I used two of these slings to lift the front loader frame from a ninety horsepower tractor. tractor without difficulty The loader frame is a lot heavier than the hard top on your Jeep. With these, I don't think you'd have any trouble lifting the top.

While the product specifications are a little misleading (the actual load rating printed on the label is 3100 vertical, 2480 choke, and 9400lbs basket style), it's still a great deal for what it can do. It was purchased for a choke situation, but it will be useful for many years. It's a great value at under $20.
This is the second time I've used these keepers. I used to lift 3/4 plywood up to the top of my garage with a block and tackle. I needed a little more than 6 feet, but I had four, so I looped one through the other. The straps were also used to lift a 1500 lb cast iron heat register, which they handled with ease.
Pro: They were able to complete all of the tasks I asked of them - The cost was fair - The strap is of good quality and weight. not a low-cost vibebr>Cons: A few stitches appear to be loosening, but not to the point where they can be unraveled. I'll have to take care of that before the next use. br>br>I'd recommend these for light and heavy loads; they won't last forever if used frequently, but they'll give you more than you paid for.
This is great for atv winching and is of good quality. The only thing I wish was that the strap ends had been folded and then stitched together. Because they are too large for my winch hook, I purchased a couple of d rings, which work perfectly with the strap and snatch block, and I am very pleased with my homemade winching kit.
I'm a small-scale farmer with several acres and a fleet of trucks, tractors, and recreational vehicles. These straps are extremely useful for lifting, towing, dragging, and other similar tasks. I buy three at a time and invariably give them away to friends and neighbors who require them. These straps save me from injury after injury, even though I have back and shoulder problems (I'm 72). Without them, I would be unable to do so. Purchase a few. It will not be a mistake. Both cost-effective and durable.
I ordered two of these and received one brand new and one used (dirty and with a run in it, indicating that it had clearly been subjected to considerable weight). I didn't complain or return a milling machine because I needed it moved quickly. Still, it's a dreadful performance.
Strong and crammed. It has double material on the ends and a lot of stitching. It is lightweight and can be used anywhere. I'm going to use it to secure my bikes to my hitch for added security, and it's a keeper haha.
It's the perfect length and width. The handle loops are large enough to fit your hands and wrist through, putting the pulling force on your forearm rather than your fingers and hands. I wouldn't be able to function without it.
At least two of these keepers should be included in every tow/lift kit. Long enough to wrap around larger objects being lifted or to anchor a winch around a tree or post.
