If you don't need it for saltwater or wet environments, this item might be sufficient. There's a picture of the brackets in action. Stainless steel is indicated by the fact that it is fitted over the strap. The screws are stainless steel, as is a portion of the cinch strap buckle, but none of the buckles or brackets with which the screws are used are stainless. br>br>They should make it clear that the screws are the only part that is completely stainless.
The nylon is effectively "seatbelt" material, and it was purchased to tie down a set of three lithium batteries for a RV solar project. Very powerful. The stainless steel screws are slightly undersized, but the size of screw you need depends on how you want to mount it, so I wouldn't hold it against the vendor. The batteries are securely fastened to the chassis. I'll see how it holds up in the long run, but I think it'll be fine.
It's well-made and a significant improvement over the battery box's plastic buckle and bracket. Feel more secure in securing a 60-pound marine battery with this setup! On a Jon boat, 3/16" pop rivets were used to keep it in place. I'm very happy with my purchase!.
After the original system corroded, I needed to find a way to secure four batteries in a motor home. It worked perfectly!.
I put the strap on a dual battery tray that I made myself. The strap appears to be quite strong and does a good job of keeping the batteries in place. I bought this strap assembly because the brackets were not stainless, so I could mig weld them instead of welding them. with the hardware that was provided.
This strap outperforms the original OEM strap by 100%. It's very simple to put on and adjust, and it's extremely safe. Loose straps are no longer a source of annoyance.
Excellent strap for the battery box. Installing it is a breeze. made with care The price is also very reasonable.
This served its intended purpose admirably. But it could be a little thicker, in my opinion. I'm the only one who thinks this way. As is, the product works perfectly.
