It depends on how much weight it will support, but these straps have been tested to support over 100 pounds for short periods of time, but not for long periods of time.
I haven't used my straps for that purpose, but I do have a Jeep Wrangler in which I've strapped items to the roll bar. Items such as a 26" axe, a machete, and tools to help secure a Hi-Vis Hi-Vis Hi-Vis Hi-Vis Hi-Vis Hi-Vis Hi-V To get to the jack mount, lift Jack up. I tie up sleeping bags, extension cords, and garden hoses. It's not as heavy as a bike, but with enough straps (8 should be plenty), I think it'll do the trick. I keep extra straps in a variety of sizes on hand. These straps, in my opinion, are the best thing since duct tape, silicone, and baling wire, all of which I no longer use. Perhaps try it out first on a low-cost bike.
The hook and loop material is used throughout the strap. The loop material makes up the majority of the strap, while the hook material makes up the final few inches or so, depending on the size.

I've had my straps for a few months and have been testing them. As a firefighter, I need something durable, and Velcro comes in a variety of levels. These straps are well-made, and the size range is appealing. They've held up well so far, and I'm using them to keep tools together, small items in the cab secure, and hose on the truck secure.
The neoprene sleeves that were advertised on the package were missing from the straps. I sent a quick message, and they responded the following morning. The sleeves arrived today, exactly when they said they would, and I was very pleased with both their prompt response and the quality of the sleeves. His product is not a cheap knockoff; it is of excellent quality, and I am a very satisfied customer. The straps' packaging is also of excellent quality. When the occasion arises, I will reorder these.
Because I dislike wearing belts, I use one of these to keep my pants up by looping it through two belt loops. Other people, I'm sure, enjoy having their pants held up. I found it to be of higher quality and more durable than the other options I considered.
By looping the velcro end of one strap through the metal end of another and bending it back to hook on itself to create a longer strap, it worked out perfectly. br>It was once common to hang a portable oxygen concentrator from a wheelchair's back handles. The velcro is sewn to the strap rather than glued, as other products' reviews have noted.
The strap and metal hook are plenty strong, easy to loop through and get things tight on an ebike, so I bought this to hold a battery. Velcro has a hook and loop system that has a lot of holding power. This isn't stretchy at all, and I wish it had a touch to help cinch things down tighter. br>br>Holds the ebike battery in place securely, and the extras were used to secure the bike on the bike rack. It's ideal for the job.
racks that are mounted Knowing that there are two methods for securing the bike wheels / frame to the rack makes me feel much safer driving at highway speeds. br>br>I always use a backup system when transporting anything outside the vehicle, and it works great. Many people are unaware that if their cargo detaches from their vehicle, it becomes a potential liability. These provide an inexpensive insurance policy as well as increased safety for everyone, especially now that so many vehicles video record the drive.
Camco awning deflaper straps are too short and need to be replaced. The 15" length was ideal for replacing the 12" old ones. These are heavier material and, with the full stitching, should last a long time; apparently, people complaining about having to twist the strap to fasten aren't using them correctly. You must loop through the metal loop for them to work properly. However, you must complete the loop in the correct order.
The straps are fantastic! I use them to keep my bulky e-mail safe. To my upright bike rack, I'm going to ride my bike. My fat bike's 4 inch tires were too big for the ones that came with the rack. They have enough length to wrap securely around the rim and tire to keep them in place in the tire troughs. They're made of a webbing material, so they'll withstand repeated strapping and unstrapping.
