Questions & Answers

On the back of the device is a date sticker with the default password that has been changed. Could I perform a master reset in order to gain control over this statistic?

To reach Honeywell, call their direct line. When that type of question is asked, they tend to be very helpful.

What are the chances of this working on 2 Is it possible to have 24 volts without a Does the system run without a c wire?

IF you connect the furnace or control connections of other equipment to a Honeywell Equipment Interface Module (EIM) and set up the RedLink connection between the EIM and this unit (only for power), it will work fine on 2 wires to this unit (for power only). You only need to spend less than 60 seconds to accomplish this. A Honeywell RedLink RF wireless transmitter will use EIM's communication feature so that it and this unit can communicate wirelessly. A wall fixture mounted next to the equipment is an option for an EIM. My two systems each have two EIMs, one on each, and they work fine. *br>Basically, you wire the EIM to the furnace just as if it were a In the next step, it handles the wireless communication with the thermostat to ensure that all functions and communications are passed along as if the thermostat were connected by wire.

Does my monitor need to have the redlink 802.11g adapter or another adapter to make the connection with Wi-Fi Are there no remote sensors on my tstatsor system?

This thermostat would allow you to do so. If you were looking for a thermostat you could easily connect to Wifi without needing any extra adapters, you should check out the

Is it possible to connect more than one indoor temperature sensor (C7089R1013) to the unit and have the unit average all the temperatures, or does it have to be one sensor?

In the C7189R1004 is the indoor temperature sensor, and you can either set the system to monitor temperature at the thermostat or at the sensor location, or measure both and use the average to optimize comfort. It allows up to six sensors to be fed into the thermostat for temperature readings and averages them. With multiple sensors installed, the thermostat can monitor temperature and humidity respectively in multiple locations, and can be set to use readings from different sensors depending on the installation. As an example, one sensor can be used to control humidification at main level, while another can be used to control dehumidification at crawl space level. You can read more about the thermostat in the instructions provided with the appliance.

I would not recommend it if you are a novice, but it is a good method to adjust air This thermostat is convenient
4/5

To program it, I had to familiarize myself with the software first, but after a few attempts, I am able to get it to work as expected. As a matter of fact, our situation consists of the following It is open to the living room on the upstairs hallway leading to 3 bedrooms. Due to the fact that the hallway is close to the ceiling in the living room, it can get warm on cold days. Our three bedrooms have two doors that are usually closed due to the fact that our adult children occupies them. In other words, what can be done about controlling the temperature of those bedrooms, given that doors are closed and the thermostat registers the temperature near the height of the living room's 2nd floor ceiling? In the end, this thermostat was combined with the Honeywell C7189R1004 Wireless Indoor Sensor as a solution. With the Vision Pro 8000 hooked up, my low-noise environment was able to stand out I was able to get it working without much hassle by simply upgrading the voltage wiring. As with any other thermostat, the controls were simple There are six different colored wires connected to each connector red, yellow, green, white, and black. What was cool was that it could be paired with the R1004. As part of the setup program, I instructed the thermostat to only pay attention to temperature readings from the R1004, and ignore hallway temperature readings. From now on, the thermostat will only turn on the A/C when a certain temperature is reached in one bedroom. Then, I will purchase 2 more R1004 units and install each one in one of the remaining bedrooms I will then instruct the Vision Pro 8000 to use the average of the 3 room temperatures when controlling the A/C or heating in those bedrooms. In addition to connecting to the internet via a wireless router, this unit is able to communicate with outdoor sensors, regulate the humidity, and communicate with fresh air sensors. Due to the fact that I am not electing to do any of the other options, I cannot comment on how well it performs. I can still say that its capability to communicate with remote room sensors allows us to overcome our problem. In closing, I would like to caution you. You shouldn't try to use the operating system if you're not a computer expert. This application was designed for air conditioning installers, and can have custom messages and things like that so a specialist can adjust it to reflect their own As long as you're proficient with technology, particularly programmable thermostats, you should be able to figure out this device with a little effort, and it's well worth your time.

I greet you

A thermostat with more than meets the eye! for confined spaces and rooms of different sizes that are hard to control. For this thermostat to work, the remote from RedLink is required. I wouldn't call it a thermostat because it's actually more of a central processing unit with a few Here are some of the places I've used 5 RedLink sensors The apartment has a kitchen, a living room, two bedrooms, and a vaulted ceiling. As the RedLink sensors send the temperature and humidity of the rooms back to the "thermostat" it AVERAGES the temps of all five and compares them to the outdoor unit, where it turns on the furnace or air conditioner until the AVERAGE of all five meets the desired temperature. My understanding is it works the same way regardless of whether or not you have a humidifier. We bought the system because it saved us more than a year's worth of costs. By 15 percent, I was able to reduce my electric bill A monthly rate of 20%. Honeywell came up with a brilliant idea. It is best to have a technician who knows how to do it install it for you. You should also check whether a hardwired version or a battery powered one is necessary. Moreover, the app makes it easy to change the battery in the thermostat and each RedLink remote control. Purchasing and installing remote controls is your responsibility. You can save money by purchasing remotes from Amazon for around $33 each. I set them up each in less than five minutes. In response to the HVAC dealer's offer, each unit would cost $175 It is thé It is as simple as connecting the battery and pushing the Connect button.

This thermostat has a lot in common with the Honeywell Prestige 2
4/5

I was torn between it and the redesigned Honeywell Prestige (yes, redesigned is newer than Prestige 2). Getting that much out was a bit of a challenge for me. They are both 'pro install,' which is to say that Honeywell doesn't provide a lot of information about their products so consumers can compare them more easily. It was a very simple install for me. In other respects, I found the features to be pretty much the same. Because it offers the option to connect directly to the furnace or use an EIM, I decided to purchase the Vision Pro 8000. All communication takes place wirelessly on the new (redesigned) Prestige models, which use two wires for power and two for power. Whenever you do not have enough wires or manage to pull a new cable easily, this is useful. However, I worry that Honeywell won't be able to predict all the toys my neighbors will install over the next 20 years, and I might come home to frozen pipes one day because some new wireless band knocked out the communications and wouldn't switch It was later that I found out that if the communications fail, the Presitge models will use duct sensors connected to the EIM to avoid the house freezing. The feature is good if you install the sensors in the ducts The Amazon reviewers did not seem to bother with this aspect. My overall experience with the Vision Pro 8000 has been positive. In addition, I installed an outdoor sensor and the is easy to use on my Android phone and it lets me monitor and adjust the temperature remotely. Because I added a wireless indoor temperature sensor, the set point for my system is based on the average of the thermostat (main floor) and the indoor temperature sensor (upper level). If there's a large temperature difference between the two levels, then you cannot display the individual temperatures or program anything clever like running the fan (without heat) to equalize the temperature. The total price of the system should be double the thermostat alone while accessories will cost more as well. As far as the display is concerned, that is the only issue I have. Having it not be the same color as the Presitge is fine with me. My room has a window on the opposite wall, and the glare makes it difficult to read the thermostat. Additionally, Honeywell really went cheap on this one. There are only two lines of display where free form text can be displayed for menus, so it isn't as elegant On the screen, there is a lot of 7-inch text displaying temperature or time segment information, or arrows that can adjust the temperature It looks like a wristwatch or calculator from the old days. There is normally an indication of the time on the screen, but not the date or day of the (E. ) if you hold it at a constant value. Rather than showing the current time on the screen (current temp at 70 degrees until 6pm), it displays 'hold until 6pm'. It is not possible to display the current time on screen. All in all, not too much to complain about. Nevertheless, I was hoping for a little more for $100 more than a standard programmable thermostat.
