Questions & Answers
The connector is, in fact, included in the package. The image is correct. Simply plug it in and go. It takes 15 minutes to cook in my oven. If it's your first time, it might take a little longer.
I'm not sure if it'll work as a direct substitute. This one worked in my Kitchenaid double gas oven, which is 25 years old. It worked well for both broiling and baking. br>Had to swap out an old bracket for a new one because the mounting tabs were different. Swapping brackets is a breeze.
No, this isn't a suitable substitute.
They're pretty universal if you look it up and that's the one it asks for.

On the Samsung NX583G0VBBB, the code is 00520A. I did some research on Samsung DG94-Interchange Part Numbers. 00520A and decided to take a chance because it was about $50 less expensive than ordering by the OE part number. It's the correct replacement and it works perfectly; hopefully, this information will be useful to someone else.
This isn't a repackaged, unidentified component from who knows where. The one I received was RobertShaw brand, and the part is labeled Coorstek, which, if you know your beer trivia, Coors did a lot of research on cold filtering beer with ceramics, and Coorstek is a beer company spinoff that makes industrial ceramics. Again, no markings, but it was almost certainly manufactured in their Milford, NH ignitor plant. So, it's a product of the United States of America.
The original oven igniter broke just as the warranty was about to expire. I made the mistake of paying a repairman (who inadvertently damaged my oven floor because he thought it could be pried out- It's screwed in place), plus another $100 for the Dacor part; that one lasted less than a year, so I took a chance on this one after doing some research. It's the same manufacturer, same specs, and looks exactly like the OEM part (except for an extra mounting tab to fit more ovens), took 10 minutes to install, and has performed as well as or better than the original for the past two months. It's an absurd system to have full voltage running through the igniter as long as the oven is turned on. Guaranteed to fail sooner or later, but I guess they don't want us consumers to be able to turn on the oven without first lighting it, because who knows what could happen.
This was ordered to replace the supposed WB13T10045 that my GE Profile manual mentions. The Coorstek 501A sticker was on the bad one when I removed it. GE model PGS908SEP3SSbr>br>In total, it took 45 minutes from turning off the gas to removing a couple panels and replacing everything to have a "test" batch of cookies baking. br>br>It's super simple! You can do this if you're the type who hangs their own ceiling fans. If you're the type who pays $250 to have a ceiling fan installed by someone else, you should probably hire someone to do this as well.
For the past two days, it has worked perfectly. The box was made by Robertshaw. I was pleased that the Robertshaw company was based in Illinois, as I was able to support local business. To avoid having to splice wires, I ordered an igniter that included a connector. However, I had no choice because the connector's plastic portion is male, but the metal prongs inside are female. The plastic connector on my Amana stove has male prongs on the ignitor side. As a result of this minor detail (which is visible in the product image), the connector could be used. Fortunately, the company provided the two ceramic nuts, so I simply plugged the wires into the old connector. So double-check the connector, including the prongs inside, and don't toss out the old ignitor's metal enclosure; mine was different, so I had to swap it onto the new igniter. The wires were, in fact, 12 inches long. Foam-boxed and well-protected. br>br>UPDATE NO. 2 After 5 years: br>As a result, this item lasted a total of two weeks. 5 years. I bought it again and reinstalled it in the same way as before. It came in the same packaging and branding as the previous one. The old one had no cracks in the element, but it had a resistance of 5 Mega ohms, compared to 0 for the new one. It had worn out, with a resistance of 5 ohms. Anyway, it'll be much less expensive than buying a new stove, so I'll take two. It has a 5-year service life left in it. br>br>Update 2: Despite the picture, the third one I bought in 2019 did not have a Robertshaw box or a CoorsTec label on the igniter lable, but it has been working well for one week. It's possible that the supplier isn't the same.
I slid the stainless steel guard away from the igniter (being careful not to touch the hot part - I'm not sure if that would be a problem) when using it in the Quadrafire 1000 pellet stove. The body is identical to the OEM, but the igniter portion is slightly longer, perhaps 1/16 to 1/8 inch. This isn't a problem because of how the igniter is held in the pellet crucible. A small piece of glass rope is tucked around the igniter to keep it in place. I made sure the hot surface portion didn't come into contact with the crucible in any way, and I stuffed the rope in to keep it in place. I took the plug out and replaced it with the wire nuts that came with it. The pellet stove has been working flawlessly for a few days now. I'm glad I came across it.
00520A is a type of igniter. I was looking for a Samsung stove replacement that was compatible. I was able to confirm that it was a DG94-compliant model by looking at its model number. 00520A. Despite the fact that it isn't listed, this igniter is a direct replacement and works right out of the box. The job took approximately 15 minutes in total. I used a multimeter to check the continuity of my old igniter but got no results. I was able to prove that the igniter was the problem because it showed proper continuity right out of the box. It immediately glowed after installation, and it does smoke a little when first turned on, which is to be expected. For the first test run, it lit the flame perfectly in under 10 seconds. I'll keep an eye on it and provide an update if necessary.
