What is the place of manufacture?

The Chinese mainland

Would it be possible to reverse this unit so the duct opening would be on the left rather than on ?

There is a way to reverse the unit if it comes apart. You can find directions for doing this on the site. The one on the left belongs to me.

Would anyone be able to tell me what the differences between this model HE240 and HE280 are? Many thanks for your help! Is there an installation kit provided with the HE240?

There is a slight difference in size and output with the 280. There are no differences in the design. You can get installation help from them. You can find more information on the web site.

I highly recommend this humidifier for use in the entire house
5/5

Getting the installation started was not a problem. Have had it for about a month now. Took me about three hours to set it up. I like the way it works. Rather than wasting water as I thought, it doesn't waste as much. Condensate is discharged to a Beckett condensate pump shared by both the air conditioner and heater. If the humidifier is on, I think it runs maybe once every heating cycle. I feel that it will be able to handle our 2600 square foot house well. need to keep setting to significantly lower levels than the humidistat indicates even though the humidistat is in the supply air stream of the HVAC unit. It may be that the humidistat is located in the wrong location or that calibration is not right. As of right now, I have it set to around 22 and I am at around 40%. If you are planning on making holes in your A/C evaporator, be aware of where it is. are close, but not touchy. I am not sure if that would be different between the OEM paper pad and the paper pad from the paper pad manufacturer. In contrast to the original, the replacement filter is made of paper. A few years ago, we sold the little room units we had, and we haven't thought about them since. My house plants are the only things keeping me sane when it is so dry in Montana during winter.

I think this is a quality product
4/5

However, you have to remember this. Affixed to the front of the building In the installation manual, I noticed the publication date There is an urgent need to modify it to include Wire color change from RED to BLUE, how to attach 1/4 inch water line to humidifier (no mention of it), the current home code in regard to saddle valves (not up to code in some states), and possibly an apology for not having all the parts. I have one more thing to add. For $50, I spent money. For your peace of mind you will be charged an additional $00 The shut off valve to be used with a line and fittings, both 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch, are included The 1/4 inch water line is 10 feet long, and the 1/4 inch copper pipe is 4 inches long. Good luck! Unless the plenum is above it, it won't do any harm to the furnace.

The product does what it says it will
4/5

It is a good name to be associated with Honeywell. The kit comes with all of the components you need for installation. It may be a bit disappointing that the installation components aren't of top quality As you would expect from someone who works in construction or HVAC. Neither the solenoids nor the housings of Honeywell are of low You should be aware that the sizes may be a bit You might want to consider upsizing your house if yours is in the second or third tier of the range This model has the same size as the 280.

We couldn't use the supplied template because it wasn't the correct size A large portion of the template was This ridge, located on the furnace side of the humidifier, has to fit into the hole, otherwise it will not sit flat
3/5

There was at least 3 inches of excess space when the template was installed. It was a very time-consuming process, but I understand that every situation is unique. Previously, I was using an old Lobb WA2, which had a much smaller hole and not even close to fitting the return duct. The humidifier does not seem to be working because I had to replace the entire pipe. The issue that someone else mentioned about how it wastes water just by pouring it into the drain appeals to me as well. This is true. The unit shouldn't develop mold by running a continuous stream of water all the time, so I suppose it's the price to pay to prevent it from developing mold. After it was run for a season, the old Lobb would build up mold since it was more efficient on water usage. As long as our water bill isn't excessive, I'll keep an eye on it. I just wanted to note a side It was my Nest thermostat that I encountered difficulties with, rather than the humidistat included with the unit. the new thermostat wire led to a completed job taking a day and a half (after work time), then the Nest wouldn't function with the humidifier after the job was finished. Solenoids normally require a voltage of about 15 volts to trigger. A 9V supply is instead of a 24V supply. It appears this is a noted problem (online), and no easy solution exists. It is true I ran a ground wire to the Nest, along with a wire to the * terminal (hence, I had to run new wiring for the thermostat). After installing the pro installer, I took the time to review it. The triggers are triggered at the right time- There's not enough voltage in the system. Depending on whether I can replace it under warranty, I may have to replace the Nest.

Is humidity your cup of tea? As a result of this equipment pumping so much humidity throughout the house, an imperceptible amount of water was dripping down the walls
5/5

Despite being turned up all the way, it wasn't even loud enough. The software works great, as you might expect. It just takes a few turns to get it right. Despite a pain in the install (I didn't do it), install was a nightmare. Even though it can be extremely expensive, if your setup is relatively simple (not that there really is anything complex about it). The installation should not be difficult for anyone with a little DIY knowledge.

It is easy to set up and install
5/5

In the last 25 years, I replaced an old AA unit with this one. Despite the fact that a dimension is not included in the listing, I found that the product description does not explain the opening. There was a slight difference in height between my older unit and this one, so I had to make a patch plate, but it was not too painful. It was initially surprising to me that the sail switch would not work if the differential pressure between return air and supply air were not equal. In just a few minutes after installing the unit and making final connections it is up and running just fine! The water solenoid valve on the older unit was loud, but this one is so quiet I cannot even tell In addition to regulating the amount of water that comes into the home by closing the water valve a bit, ensure you have a humidity gauge in the house to track moisture levels in the home. Putting in an Indoor/Outdoor unit to regulate the water flow was a simple.

It is perfect for heat generated by dry gas

It was easy to install, but I made a few changes We ordered a takeoff and flex pipe from this company. The supplies were relatively As an alternative to plastic water lines, I ran 1/4" copper water lines. This was a great deal!.

All seems to be well so far
4/5

I will continue to work on Because I felt there was always room for improvement, I gave it four stars. The installation went smoothly but I made sure to take my time. I cut the squares with electric sheers and the round one with tin snips. All flu pipes need to be replaced. YouTube is the best place to see the installation process. As of now, this seems to be working. I will add to this in the future. I have turned it down because it is 11/17/2014 it works great they have kept the house at 45% and it is now near zero. If Honeywell made a left and right model, I'd be very pleased. I never would have had to move so much pipe from the other side if the hose came out from the other side.
