There is never just one thing to worry about! As I was looking for other reviews before purchasing this factory replacement part, I didn't find any, so I thought I'd help any other buyers of this part in the future It may not be easy to drive screws or refasten wires for do-it-yourselfers
5/5

WARNING - DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE BUYING As I did not see any instructions in the box for this replacement part (at least that I could find), but my experience as a commercial appliance repair technician led me to believe that I was capable of handling this repair reasonably well. As a starting point, I pulled the knob outward with moderate pressure and then removed it. In order to perform this repair, I then moved the range outside and unplugged it. By doing this, I would increase the likelihood of failing to earn a charge. In fact, I also noticed that there was a substantial amount of dust and food under the range, so I grabbed a dustpan and broom and cleaned these areas. The dirt under there was so bad that sweeping up would not be able to remove all the items that my (now deceased) cat had thrown under there, so I got out the bucket, cleaner, and mop and scrubbed it all down. Despite the space being limited in my small apartment, I managed to maneuver out of the way behind the range by moving aside other items. I'm almost 60 years old and on disability, so I can't move around easily, but I managed to maneuver behind that range after finishing The stove side near the cabinets is also part of the room. The side of the cabinet next to the stove is also stained. It is now evening, and I am exhausted, but the kitchen is in a mess, and I must take care of this. As I examine the back panel, I determine there are only a few screws holding it to the control panel, so I take them out, The components can be found there! In just a few seconds the control fell into my hands after I removed the two screws holding it to the front of the panel! There must have been an anxious wait for me to fix That was when the tricky part began It is necessary to align the new control with the old one, and after that to remove wires from the old control and then to insert them onto the new control, Congratulations! You have aced the test. The new control was fastened to the panel, the back cover was replaced, the range was plugged in, moved back into position, the knob was replaced, the control was tested, and the range clock was reset! It's also the best part of my day that I got to go out For this, a pocket of $0 is required. It cost me just under $1,00 to fix it, because I did it as a favor for my landlady, who let me deduct all expenses and a bit for labor from The result is a win for all Vous avez won!.

It's the same manufacture as the original part, but for a fraction of the cost
5/5

A great switch from This is a GE product made by Robertshaw. The infinite switch I purchased is the same as the one you can purchase from GE, but at a 1/3 to 1/6 of the cost. This switch was not listed as compatible with my Hotpoint stove model This is one of two units that I purchased and have installed. A single thing stands out from the rest. Whenever the knob is turned to the left, the off position is 90 degrees off. The switch facing the shaft is the one where you will see the picture. The off position on my original switch would be marked with a "A" stamp on the shaft side. Depending on the model of the WB24T10025, the off position can be found at the "D" stamped on the shaft side of the switch. Having thought about this a few minutes, I decided to remove the back/metal cover of the switch, as shown in the In this case, the only difference between the two switches is that the black disc/wheel has a metal shaft attached 90 degrees from the black shaft. It is important to remember that putting in a new switch requires removing the shaft/black disc from the old I crimped the 2 large tabs with a pair of channel locks and the 2 small tabs with needle nose pliers after putting the metal back on. There is no difference between this new switch and the old switch now. Please take note The new switch did not cause this problem. It was not listed on the switch. com site as compatible with my stove, however, it was quite simple to modify in order The "infinite switches" come in a wide variety of models, but I suppose the way they are mounted on the various stove models will determine how they are different. For $13, I found a suitable match to my stove, but the correct one cost $40 to $80 and I paid that much for this one. As opposed to having the difference go to some appliance part store, I kept it for myself.

Everything went well
5/5

The addition went well as well as the installation was simple just a note if the burner power light is on all the time you may want to pull the (white) neutral wire rather than the (red) hot wiring. This will keep the cables from getting broken. Once that one goes bad, you will also have to repair it. After you have accessed them one at a time, check to see if the light goes out.

A perfect fit and very easy to use
5/5

A very solid OEM at a fraction of the cost! The install was straightforward. The oven door has two screws behind the dial to be removed, and four more on the back. If it is plugged in or a breaker is tripped, you must unplug it first. Those who are no longer needed should be discarded. Out with the old, in with the I got rid of the popping noise with the old one, as well as the random instances where the dial would be on 4 and it would turn itself It's not as good as it should be! I have a GE 4 element The model number for the 3 cu ft range is.

Worked 8 months at the company, but stopped after that
3/5

Installation is easy even by those with minimal mechanical ability, as this is a standard part. I installed it in September 2020 (Make sure you choose the control that is appropriate for your burner size when ordering). Eight months later, the control has started making sparking sounds, which means there is a short and the control may simply fail, or it may even ignite. I hope the seller contacts me about sending a replacement, but I cannot contact them directly.

I am extremely happy with my purchase
5/5

It was troublesome to turn the front burner on our GE electric stove. At medium (5), it would become extremely hot and would not cool off until it was turned Yesterday I installed this, and now I can boil at 7 without the water turning red and the water is able to cool down when it is too hot! Buying a stove is much cheaper than purchasing a new one!.

The program works well
4/5

If you want to get it to fit, you might have to rearrange your electrical wires and pilot lights. it on my old Thermador CV2136, but it was not difficult at all, and it still has a pilot light and the switch works perfectly. In fact I am able to use a lower low setting than the original switch, which is great. Buying old, tested ones for around $80 each is a great buy. I purchased them and they have since failed, so I tend to stick with the new ones. Using original switches is easier than changing them since the switch stems drop off however, they will no longer last (the stems will break and the points will corrosion).

I have no problems with it
5/5

Installed and working well for weeks, this switch is not showing any signs of wear and tear. The specs of my model of cooktop were not specifically listed as compatible, but the power and voltage were a good match. You will just need to connect the wires from the old switch to the leads on the new switch corresponding to their name and number.
