I eventually found the bake element listing on partselect.com while looking for my oven. They provide you with their part number, which begins with PS, as well as a whirlpool part number, which begins with WP. Although searching Amazon for the WP number yielded more results than searching Amazon for the PS number, both are listed in this item. My oven is a different model than yours, and it appears that the part is different.

We bought this a couple of weeks ago to replace the lower heating element in a Whirlpool oven. It's been performing exactly as I had hoped. br>br>The true rating will be based on the longevity of the product - We had previously purchased a replacement element from the Sears Parts store, which lasted about two or three years. I'm hoping this one lasts a lot longer than the last, but I can't guarantee it. The first lasted more than a decade. br>br>Because I don't know yet, I'm giving it five stars. Even if we only use it for a few years, it will be less expensive than replacing the oven. br>br>I'm only reviewing now because I received an email saying, "You have been selected to receive a $3 Amazon Gift Card* in exchange for providing honest feedback on one of your recent purchases through the Amazon Early Reviewer Program. "br>br>Since this wasn't obvious to me, and I've already put it in an answer on this item: To locate the part number for your oven's element, use the following steps: I went to partselect. com and typed in my oven model (located inside the door) to get a list of all the parts, then clicked on the bake element on the list. That site will list their own part number (starts with PS) as well as the original number (starts with WP or W for Whirlpool, not sure about other brands), which you can then take to Amazon and look up. Other parts may appear in the search results, so double-check that the part number in the listing matches either the PS number or the original number.

This element was required to replace one I purchased 20 months ago on Amazon from a different manufacturer for my old Whirlpool drop-in refrigerator. in the oven and on the stove It took me only 5 minutes to install it, and when I turned on the oven, the element glowed a pleasing cherry red all the way down. If you're doing it for the first time, make sure your exhaust fan is turned on to avoid burns. off, and a small puff of whatever is coating the element, but this is short-lived. The 5- However, a five-star rating comes with stipulations. Let's see if it lasts for more than a year.

This is effective! We assumed we'd need to replace the oven

Since Thanksgiving of this year, I've been unable to access my computer. We gave it a shot, and voila, the oven is back in service. It's a lot better than buying the part directly from Whirlpool. In our kitchen, we've reopened for business. Let the feasting begin!.
