The first time I used these for cleaning, I noticed that the water was clear instead of the usual brown tinted and slightly cloudy appearance that follows the use of So, I ordered some of the tablets from Breville and ran the cleaning cycle again after I finished ordering them. I was surprised at how brown and cloudy the water was. Based on this conclusion, I would say that these tablets are not working. This will be thrown away and I'm sticking with the tablets from Breville. The cost is more, but you save money compared to buying a new espresso machine for $600. * Update In order to make sure my previous results held, I did the test again. I ran a cleaning cycle with one of the tablets, and the water came out clear. Next, I immediately ran another cleaning cycle with the cleaning tablets, which had a brownish and cloudy appearance. It is not possible to clean with these tablets.

I have a $2000 espresso machine and these tablets caused the machine to foam and make a mess- I do not recommend using them As soon as they have been used In spite of rinsing several times there was still a bad taste from the machine. Now I have to buy cleaner from the store. My tablets are terrible so I am stuck with them. Purchase this product at your own risk!.

This one I was hesitant to buy, but when I found (8) 1, I decided to buy it. A $1 bill gives you (30) 1g of a name brand tablet and 5 grams of generic tablets. There is a 50 cent difference. The idea appealed to me, so I gave it a shot. As far as I can tell, the one I've tried has worked Despite my expectations, it dissolved faster than imagined, and I rationalized I could always use two and still come out ahead if it stood to reason that it was not giving me the same cleaning effect, but it seems to be doing just that.

It has been a few months since I used the Essential Values Cleaning tablets and I am impressed with their effectiveness. The basket end of the Espresso machine must be kept clean at all times and these machines work well to do this. Some of these came with my machine with instructions for use but ran out after a few weeks, so I ordered more. Those who work like them do so.

Several months ago, I couldn't get coffee to work, and the clean me light had been on for a long while. It took me until my coffee stopped flowing until I finally got around to it. Using my sample cleaning tablets and water filter, I was able to restore my coffee machine to its former efficiency. It is next time that I will use the tablets.
