While I was quite happy with the coffee from the costco filters, the extra serotonin boost I get when pulling these out of the official technivorm box makes the coffee even That's right I have no problems with them.

There is a VERY slow filtering process involved with these. Both brands were identical when we bought them. Although there is nothing wrong with that, the description makes it seem like they are unique to Technivorm and made in Switzerland. However, we can clearly see that is not the case and these do cost a bit more than Filtropa.
It has never been a problem for me before, but the last time I ordered them the smell of perfume was quite strong. As a test, I brewed the coffee with just one filter to see if the smell would transfer to the flavor. The fact that a company that makes an amazing (and very expensive) coffee maker has such poor quality control is surprising. My hope is that this is a one-time occurrence. However, I am not convinced that I will order their filters again. Even though I still love my moccamaster, it wasn't long ago.
