The answer is yes! On a ski trip with both helmets and no helmets, my 9 and 7 year old wore them! I had no problems either way. I was very impressed with how comfortable and happy the kids were.
Children and adults can both use them because they are the right size. They can be used by me if I want, but I bought them for kids as a gift. You should check it out!
There should be no problem fitting because the strap has an adjustability. I like how comfortable they are and how well they block out the cold.

This pair of sunglasses is cheap, so let's say that up front. The price per piece is about six dollars. Would they be comparable to goggles with 30+ lenses? It's not supposed to happen, isn't it? There is no such thing.
