This pair of shorts is unisex, and I purchased it for my daughter. It fitted like her old ones, but I had to move up one size. Amazon, however, made it easy to return it.

A design that is unparalleled. In a nutshell, It's super warm and I love the board grip. It's far better than any 3mm booties I've ever worn, not to mention all the other 5mm booties I've worn. This product design is amazing. If you are able to stay out longer and catch more waves as well as feel more connected to your board and perform better, spending an extra $20 or so is a worthwhile investment. The only thing I hated about booties was that they made my feet look fat and ugly. As a result of living and surfing in Costa Rica for four years, then traveling to all the exotic tropical locations, I became so accustomed to surfing barefoot that when I wore booties my level of surfing plummeted drastically. A trip to Portugal involving a rental RV with wave riding and surfing from Ericera to Spain was undertaken by me this month. As a result of what they sacrifice in control for heat, all the other guys are bringing 3ml and 5ml booties. The only items I am bringing are.
It was necessary to go up one size to get a proper fit, but they were extremely comfortable once I got the right ones. The bootie ensures that the feet stay warm at all times and doesn't slip inside it. The products from Xcel are outstanding and I have never been disappointed.

After trying them on, I'm returning them right away. These booties are supposed to be excellent, but I will not be keeping them. In the past, I have owned a pair of those cheap Neosport booties (which aren't too bad for the price), but they absorb a lot of water, so I was looking for something a little In comparison, Neosport boots are a size 12 and are much bigger than these Xcel sizes As a result, despite wearing a size 13 in normal shoes, I wear a size 12 in Neosport and either a size 14 or 15 in Xcel boots (which don't exist). It appears I have a size 11 or 12 foot, but these damn monkey toes have pushed me up to a 13.
