A bit heavy, it definitely has some weight because of the material and thickness, and once again, the edges are "very" sharp, so I lightly sanded them so they won't cut you up if you happen to catch it on something in the water with any force

However, the fin is very sturdy and I suppose it will do the trick. I haven't yet tried surfing with it, but it fitted in the fin box just fine without any It is very strong and rigid.

If you want to try out a "D" fin without spending a lot of money, this is the one you need. It is made of molded plastic, which means that it will easily dent and ding.

It fits perfectly, turns great, and has plenty of hold for big hollow It's a little sharp, so you might want to sand it a little bit, but other than that it's been great.

This fin is perfect for a stick board, pig board, or a retro-style surfboard. You may have to sand the edge of the fin to remove its sharpness, but the foil doesn't appear to be too bad.
