It's easily held my two 11'2" and 31 pound SUPs.
Hello Kevin, the rack is 24" tall overall. If you're going to use it in a small space, you'll want to consider how thick your top level board is, as this will add a few more inches to the amount of space you'll need. Carli, StoreYourBoard, StoreYourBoard, StoreYourBoard, StoreYour
Not sure. I have a 10' and 12' board, and I spaced the racks 3' apart, so each end has almost 4' of overhang. The boards may be held if they are spaced 26" apart (or less), but they will be less stable.
The bars are cushioned, and the boards are extremely secure. If you're concerned about earthquakes, you could always use a standard cam boat strap.

It looks fantastic. It does exactly what it says. This is an excellent rack. It isn't worth the time and effort to construct your own. Using the provided hardware, this could not have been any easier to set up. I drilled four holes, screwed in the two racks, and popped on the four poles to secure it to the studs. It appears to be well-made and sturdy. Boards are shielded. And if I ever needed to remove the four poles, they were simple to do so. I'm storing two 34" wide SUP boards on them, and they fit perfectly; I'm very pleased with the product. My boards extend beyond the poles' ends, but there's no risk of them sliding off.
There are a few minor adjustments that need to be made. With two exceptions, these are excellent for storing your paddle boards. First, as some reviewers have noted, the screws/bolts are inadequate for their length and thickness. Go to your local hardware store and purchase something similar. Second, there is a small gap in the padding in the middle of the racks. I wish it didn't, because my installation places the Paddle Board's point right in the gap, necessitating the addition of padding. It's not a huge deal, but why not pad the entire rack? In the summer, I'm going to buy a new set of boards for where I keep them near the lake.
This was an excellent purchase. The racks are simple to put together; all you have to do is locate the studs and level your drill points. That was the most time-consuming task of all. I keep a SUP and a longboard on them, and they're fine, with plenty of room in between for the top board's 10" fin. I added a second funboard to the longboard and it works fine. With the push of a button, the arms can be removed easily. The finish and foam are both beautiful, and the racks appear to be well-made.
So far, everything is running smoothly. On this wall rack, my 29 pound sup has yet to collapse. I didn't give it a five-star rating because I believe the padding on the board's resting bar should extend all the way across it. Because my board has a curved bottom, it collides with the metal in places where the padding does not cover it. I had to flip the board over, and part of it is still resting on the metal part that isn't padded. Overall, it's a strong and reliable rack.
Finding 2x6 studs in the garage wall, as well as measuring and marking the wall where it would be mounted, took the most time. Before drilling in two wall mounts, I double-checked that the hardware was leveled on the wall. The foam on the rack is thick, so the boards do not move when they are in the rack. I have two 11'2" boards on this, both of which are 33" wide. This purchase has exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend it to anyone who needs to store boards in their home or garage.
There is a problem with the hardware. The hardware that came with this wall mount was broken when I bought it. The pads had also been ruined. Then I decided to give them another chance and purchase their stand-up rack, which was also a terrible product; all of the hardware was used, so I received a used product, and the screws didn't even fit into the nut! They are unworthy of such a large sum of money.
If you're looking for a SUP rack, this is the one to get. My wife has a Yolo 10'6" and I have a 12' Bote HD, so this is perfect for them both. We were looking for something similar to hang them in our garage, and this was perfect. The racks look great and were a breeze to put together. You'll need to drill into the studs, but aside from that, the installation process only took a few minutes. Don't hesitate to buy.
The product was excellent and arrived in a timely manner. This is a well-made product that is simple to put together. I really like the product, and I can easily store the paddle boards.
